1 RULES OF THE COMPETITION 1.1 The ompetition shll e onduted in ordne with the Rules of Hokey in fore on the first plying dy of the ompetition exept s vried y Appendix 1 of these Regultions nd in ordne with these Regultions. 1.2 The vrious ompetition plns nd rnking shemes re set out in Appendies 2 9 1.3 The Tournment Regultions will e pulished y the FIH on its wesite www.fih.h from time to time. A opy of the Regultions must e sent to ll prtiipting ountries y the host Ntionl Assoition t lest 28 dys prior to the strt of the tournment. In ddition, the host Ntionl Assoition is lso required to mke opies ville for the prtiipting tems nd the tehnil offiils t the pre-tournment riefing meetings. 1.4 In order to e eligile to ompete in n Under 16, Under 18 or Under 21 ompetition, plyer must e under 16, under 18 or under 21 yers of ge (s pplile) on the 31 Deemer of the yer preeding the strt of the relevnt ompetition. 1.5 In order to e eligile to ompete in ny Msters ompetition, plyer must e over the designted ge limit on the 31 Deemer of the yer of the relevnt ompetition. 1.6 The FIH Code of Condut, Appendix 11, estlished to rete wreness of nd ountility for the promotion of the gme of hokey mongst the prtiipnts of the ompetition will pply. 1.7 The FIH Imge Rights Poliy will pply t ll FIH Glol Events (ie World Cup, Indoor World Cup, World Legue, Chmpions Trophy, Chmpions Chllenge 1, Chmpions Chllenge 2, nd Junior World Cup). 2 TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS 2.1 The President of the FIH (or, in his sene, one or more offiils formlly designted y the FIH President), shll e the FIH Representtive(s) during the tournment. 2.2 Where n FIH Representtive is not the President nd ny dout rises t ny time during tournment s to the uthority of the Representtive or ny other mtter ffeting their duties, ontt must immeditely e mde with the President or Chief Exeutive Offier for guidne nd instrutions. 2.3 A Tournment Diretor is ppointed y the FIH. The Tournment Diretor hs the full power nd uthority of the FIH in reltion to ll mtters onerning the ondut of the tournment in ordne with these Regultions. 2.4 The Tournment Diretor ppoints the Umpires (inluding the Video Umpire if pplile), Tehnil Offiers nd Judges for eh mth from mong the persons ppointed y the FIH to offiite in the ompetition provided tht: Mth or Video Umpires must not e ppointed to mth in whih their ountry is plying (it eing the se tht whenever possile, the sme priniple will pply to ny offiil on duty for mth); Pge 2

n offiil of prtiipting tem is not permitted to e Tehnil Offiil of the tournment. 2.5 The Tournment Diretor ensures tht ll prtiipnts ide y the FIH Code of Condut (Appendix 11) nd, unless the Sttutes of the FIH or ny regultions pssed y the FIH in ordne with the Sttutes provide otherwise, hs uthority to tke tion in ordne with the Code of Condut, the Sttutes nd / or the relevnt regultions (s pplile). 2.6 With the onsent of the FIH Representtive, the Tournment Diretor my delegte the exerise of his/her powers nd uthorities to Tehnil Offier, in whole or in prt nd for suh durtion s the Tournment Diretor deems neessry. In the sene of n FIH Representtive, suh power of delegtion my only e exerised with the onsent of the FIH Chief Exeutive Offier. 3 TEAM ENTRY 3.1 The offiil Tem Entry Form must e forwrded y ll prtiipting ountries to oth the FIH nd the Orgnising Committee not lter thn 14 dys efore the strt of the tournment. 3.2 All plyers must e identified y their respetive plying shirts numered within the rnge 1 32 whih must remin the sme throughout the ompetition. 3.3 The Tem Entry Form must inlude: d e f the nmes of up to 18 plyers wishing to tke prt in the tournment identified y their respetive plying shirt numers; the nme of the Tem Mnger, not eing the Tem Coh, Assistnt Tem Coh or Tem Medil Dotor; the Stnd-in Tem Mnger who will tke over the duties nd responsiilities of the Tem Mnger if nominted to e the Tem Mnger for prtiulr mth or if the Tem Mnger is inpitted or suspended; the nme(s) of the Tem Coh, nd ny Assistnt Tem Coh, Tem Physiotherpist nd Tem Medil Dotor, if present nd wishing to e uthorised to sit on the tem enh; detils of the primry nd lterntive olours of field plyers lothing; eh piee in one set must onsist of t lest 80% single olour nd the other set must onsist of olour(s) ompletely different from the dominnt one(s) in the first mentioned set for shirt, shorts/skirt/skorts nd soks; nd detils s to primry nd lternte olours of golkeeper s shirts whih must onsist of olours ompletely different from the primry nd lternte olours of the field plyers shirts. 3.4 If pplile nd required, the Tem Entry Form must e ompnied y ompleted Age Verifition Form nd supporting Age Verifition Douments in respet of eh plyer nmed on the Tem Entry Form, s set out in the FIH Athlete Eligiility Regultions. The FIH my t ny time require plyers to undergo ge determintion tests to onfirm their eligiility to ply in ompetition. Any plyer who fils suh test, or who refuses or fils without ompelling justifition to sumit to suh test, or evdes suh test, shll e exluded from the ompetition, nd proeedings my e rought efore the FIH Disiplinry Commissioner seeking further Pge 3

sntions ginst the plyer, nd/or his/her tem/ntionl Assoition, nd/or ny offiil ompliit in his or her reh of the ompetition eligiility requirements, s pproprite. 3.5 In the event tht tournment is plyed t the sme time s nother tournment t the sme venue, the Tem Mnger nd Stnd-in Tem Mnger nmed in the Tem Entry Form must e different Tem Mnger nd Stnd-in Tem Mnger to those nmed in the Tem Entry Form for tht other tournment. 3.6 The Orgnising Committee must hnd opy of ll entry forms to the Tournment Diretor upon his/her rrivl t the venue. 3.7 Notifition in writing of ny mendment to n entry form must e delivered y the Tem Mnger to the Tournment Diretor not lter thn 24 hours prior to the first mth of the tournment or t the pre-tournment riefing meeting, whihever is the lter, provided tht tem my not reple ny plyer who ws nmed on the Tem Entry Form nd susequently suspended y the Tournment Diretor for reh of the Code of Condut. Any suh notifition must e ompnied y ompleted Age Verifition Form nd supporting Age Verifition Douments in respet of eh plyer who is eing dded to the Tem Entry Form, s set out in the FIH Athlete Eligiility Regultions. No further mendments will e epted fter the dedline onerned. 3.8 In the event of withdrwl of one or more tems, the prtiiption of reserve tems is: to e pproved y the FIH in the se of n invittion tournment; the prerogtive of the FIH in ny other se. The host ountry, the prtiipting ountries nd the medi will e notified ordingly prior to the tournment ommening. 4 PRE-TOURNAMENT BRIEFING MEETINGS 4.1 Tem Mngers nd stnd-in Tem Mngers must ttend the meeting with the Tournment Diretor t time nd ple to e speified. 4.2 Tem Mngers must ring to this meeting or suh other meeting speified y the Tournment Diretor: smples of the lothing of their field plyers nd golkeepers (primry nd lternte olours) nd ll plying equipment for pprovl prior to the ommenement of the ompetition; equipment inludes golkeepers hedger, hnd protetors, leg gurds nd kikers together with ny protetive equipment suh s fe msks nd hnd protetors worn y field plyers; stiks for ll plyers will lso e heked ut the Tournment Diretor my uthorise this to e done t nother time; the pssports of plyers for proof of identity, ntionlity nd (if pplile) ge; no other form of doumenttion (eg ntionl identity rd) is eptle. The Tournment Diretor my require plyer to ttend the meeting with his / her pssport. Aknowledgement nd Agreement Forms required y the FIH Code of Condut, FIH Anti- Doping Regultions, FIH Imge Rights Poliy nd FIH Anti-Corruption Regultions must Pge 4

If tem hs not nominted Tem Medil Dotor, the Tem Physiotherpist or other tem medil person must ttend the meeting. 4.4 If direted y the Tournment Diretor, the Tem Coh must ttend the meeting with the FIH ppointed Umpires Mnger(s) t time nd ple to e speified. 5 COMPOSITION OF A TEAM 5.1 A mximum of 18 plyers my e used y tem in mth, of whom 2 must e golkeepers wering full protetive equipment. If one of the golkeepers eomes injured or is suspended during tournment, tht tem n ontinue to use 17 plyers inluding only 1 golkeeper. If tem hooses not to inlude seond golkeeper in the 18 plyers, they re limited to using 16 plyers in mth. If plyer(s) hs een suspended y the Tournment Diretor for one or more mthes then, for those mthes, the numer of plyers the tem onerned my use will e redued y the numer of plyers suspended. A minimum of 16 plyers must e ville to prtiipte for tem in mth, nd inluded on the Tem Entry Form of whom 2 must e golkeepers wering full protetive equipment. If one of the golkeepers eomes injured or is suspended during tournment, tht tem n ontinue to use 15 plyers inluding only 1 golkeeper for ny prtiulr mth. If plyer(s) hs een suspended y the Tournment Diretor for one or more mthes then, for those mthes, the numer of plyers the tem onerned my use will e redued y the numer of plyers suspended. 5.2 At time nd ple to e greed upon with the Tournment Diretor during the Pre-Tournment Briefing Meeting, eh Tem Mnger must deliver the pproprite form nominting: d e f g the eleven plyers who will e on the field of ply t the ommenement of the mth; sujet to regultion 5.1 in reltion to golkeepers, up to seven plyers who will strt on the tem enh (unless one or more plyers hs or hve een suspended for tht mth in whih se the relevnt plyer(s) should e inluded on the form ut mrked with n S); the ptin nd golkeeper(s) for the mth; the Tem Mnger for the mth; the Coh on the tem enh for the mth; Physiotherpist (if ny); Medil Dotor (if ny). 5.3 Nomintions n only e mde from the plyers nd tem offiils whose nmes pper on the Tem Entry Form, exluding ny person who hs een suspended from prtiipting in the mth y the Tournment Diretor. 5.4 A nominted plyer who eomes inpitted during wrm-up or prtie my e repled y plyer whose nme ppers on the Tem Entry Form up to 10 minutes prior to the sheduled strting time of the mth. The Tem Mnger must notify the Tehnil Offier on duty ordingly, who will inform the Tem Mnger of the opposing tem nd the medi. Pge 5

6 TEAM CLOTHING, EQUIPMENT AND COLOURS 6.1 The Tournment Diretor, t his/her solute disretion, shll speify to the Tem Mngers the lothing to e worn y their field plyers nd golkeepers for eh mth. 6.2 Any dditionl items of lothing worn y plyer during mth must e the sme olour s the djoining piee of lothing. 6.3 When wrming up during mth, sustitutes must wer is or some other form of lothing in olour different to oth tems. 6.4 Eh field plyer s numer must: pper in distintive filled (not outlined) figure(s); e not less thn 16 m nd not more thn 20 m in height on the k of the plyer's shirt; e not less thn 7 m nd not more thn 9 m in height on the front of the plyer's shorts/skirt/skorts t thigh level. 6.5 Eh golkeeper s numer must: pper in distintive filled (not outlined) figure(s); e not less thn 16 m nd not more thn 20 m in height on the k of the golkeeper s shirt; e not less thn 7 m nd not more thn 20 m in height on the front of the golkeeper s shirt. Eh plyer s nme must: pper on the k of their shirt (exept if they re tking prt t tht time s field plyer with golkeeping privileges); e in distintive filled (not outlined) letters not less thn 6 m nd not more thn 10 m in height; e positioned ove the plyer's numer so tht the numer remins lerly visile. 6.7 The disply of the FIH logo on plyers shirts is ompulsory for FIH Glol Event, ie World Cup, Indoor World Cup, World Legue (Rounds 3 nd 4 only), Chmpions Trophy, Chmpions Chllenge 1 nd Junior World Cup. The logo must e minimum size of 77mm v 40 mm. A golkeeper my leve nd re-enter the field of ply djent to the gol. 9.9 Tem offiils nd plyers my leve the tehnil fility re surrounding the field of ply during hlf time only with prior permission of the Tehnil Offier on duty. In doing so, plyers must leve their stiks nd golkeepers their stiks, hnd protetors nd hedger, t or ner the tem enh. 9.10 Audile vol ommunition from the videogrpher fility overlooking the field of ply is not permitted y the personnel dmitted to this fility. 10 INTERRUPTIONS OF A MATCH 10.1 If mth is interrupted y the umpires (eg euse of wether or field of ply onditions) or y the Tehnil Offier (eg euse of thunderstorm with lightning), this mth must e resumed s soon s possile (not neessrily on the sme field of ply or on the sme dy), under the following onditions: the mth must e ompleted up to the regultion full time (see Regultion 7.1), the sore on the resumption eing tht t the time the interruption took ple; on resumption, Regultion 8 relting to the sustitution of plyers shll pply s though there hd een no interruption to the mth. 11 MATCH REPORT FORMS 11.1 At the end of mth, Mth Report is produed t the tehnil tle. This is summry of the mth showing the nmes of ll plyers, tem offiils nd tehnil offiils nominted for the mth nd the key mth sttistis, inluding the result. Pge 9

11.2 Within ten minutes of the end of the mth, the Tem Mnger of eh prtiipting tem must sign the Mth Report, even if protest is ontemplted. 11.3 The mth offiils must lso sign the Mth Report one oth Tem Mngers hve done so. 12 DISQUALIFICATION OR FAILURE TO PLAY 12.1 During the pool mthes: A tem either disqulified or refusing to ply or filing to omplete mth is deemed to hve withdrwn from the ompetition. 14 CODE OF CONDUCT AND SANCTIONS 14.1 The FIH Code of Condut pplies to ll prtiipnts in FIH sntioned events. 14.2 Appendies 11, 12 nd 13 to these Regultions provide detils of the FIH Code of Condut nd ssoited Guidelines for Tournment Diretor. 14.3 In deiding on the durtion of ny suspension, the Tournment Diretor is not limited to the remining mthes in the ompetition ut my impose suspension tht ffets mthes eyond the onlusion of the ompetition. 14.4 Suspended persons my not enter the field of ply or the tehnil fility res (inluding the tem enhes, ohes oxes nd video tower) until ompletion of the mth or mthes omprising the suspension. 14.5 An individul or tem my ppel ginst ny suspension. At FIH events where n FIH Representtive hs een ppointed, the ppel will e referred to n Appel Jury exept tht suspension imposed fter the ompletion of the ompetition my only e ppeled to the FIH Disiplinry Commissioner s speified in FIH Sttutes. At n event where there is not n FIH representtive, the ppel will e referred to the FIH Chief Exeutive Offier. 14.6 If n individul or tem wishes to ppel, the Tem Mnger(s) must give written notie to the Tournment Diretor within sixty (60) minutes fter the Tournment Diretor s deision is pulished. If no ppel is lodged, the deision of the Tournment Diretor is finl. 14.7 If n ppel is lodged, the Tournment Diretor must immeditely inform the FIH Representtive, if one hs een ppointed. If there is not n FIH Representtive, the Tournment Diretor must dvise the FIH Chief Exeutive Offier. 15 PROTESTS 15.1 If tem wishes to lodge protest t the end of mth or t the end of stnd-lone Shootout ompetition the Tem Mnger must: delre the intention to do so immeditely in writing diretly elow his / her signture when signing the Mth Report or Shoot-out Competition form; produe in ddition in writing the grounds of the protest nd must hnd tht doument to the Tehnil Offier on duty within 30 (thirty) minutes of the ompletion of the mth or stnd-lone shoot-out ompetition ; deposit in ddition five thousnd rupees (INR 5000) (or equivlent in freely onvertile urreny) with the written protest. 15.2 If protest is mde, the Tehnil Offier on duty must immeditely notify the Tournment Diretor. 15.3 Notwithstnding the provisions of this Regultion, protest from deision of n Umpire or Video Umpire during mth or shoot-out ompetition my not e mde to or onsidered y the Tournment Diretor. In this se the Tem Mnger must: produe in writing the grounds of the protest nd must hnd tht doument to the Tournment Diretor within thirty (30) minutes of the pulition or other ommunition on whih the protest is sed; deposit five thousnd rupees (INR 5000) (or equivlent in freely onvertile urreny) with the written protest. 15.5 The Tournment Diretor must mke deision nd pulish it within two hours from the sumission of protest, sve for protests relting to the ntionlity or ge of plyer where further time is required in order to properly investigte the protest (in whih se the Tournment Diretor must mke deision nd pulish it s soon s resonly possile); if possile, the Tournment Diretor should lso orlly notify the deision to the Tem Mnger onerned immeditely fter mking the deision. 15.6 The Tem Mnger must mke rrngements with the Tournment Diretor to e ville so tht the Tournment Diretor n give their deision from the protest to the Tem Mnger.. 15.7 Filure to omply with ny prt of this Regultion will result in dismissl of the protest 15.8 The deposit my e refunded in whole or in prt if the protest is llowed, t the disretion of the FIH Exeutive Bord, who will onsider the mtter t n pproprite time fter the mth or the event. 15.9 If tem involved in protest wishes to ppel the deision of the Tournment Diretor resulting from ny protest under these Regultions, the Tem Mnger(s) must give written notie to the Tournment Diretor within sixty (60) minutes fter the Tournment Diretor s deision is pulished. If no suh ppel is lodged, the deision of the Tournment Diretor is finl. 15.10 If n ppel is lodged, the Tournment Diretor must immeditely inform the FIH Representtive. For tournments in whih there is no FIH Representtive see Artile 17.12 (elow). 16 APPEAL JURY 16.1 At FIH events where there is n FIH Representtive ppointed, the FIH Representtive will ppoint n Appel Jury. 16.2 If not hiring the hering, the FIH Representtive will ppoint hir. 16.3 An Appel Jury shll onsist of minimum of three persons nd mximum of five persons. 16.4 Any person who hs tken prt in ny previous proeedings relting to the mtter under ppel must not e ppointed to prtiulr Appel Jury. 16.5 Resonle steps should e tken to ensure tht t lest one memer of n Appel Jury for prtiulr hering hs plyed interntionl hokey within the previous 10 yers. If possile, the Chir of the Appel Jury whih herd the se should orlly notify the deision to the Tem Mnger or offiil onerned immeditely fter mking the deision. 17.9 The deision of the Appel Jury is finl nd inding on ll prties onerned sujet to Artile 11.2 of the FIH Sttutes. 17.10 The deision of the Appel Jury shll e sed on the lne of proilities (more likely thn not). A plyer my e the sujet of more thn one nti-doping test during ompetition. 18.5 A plyer seleted for n nti-doping test my not tke shower, th, ie-th or similr efore providing urine/lood smple whih meets the requirements in the Interntionl Stndrd for Testing. 19 UNFORESEEN EVENTS 19.1 If irumstnes rise whih re not provided for in these Regultions, the Tournment Diretor will determine ny tions neessry. 19.2 If ny tem ffeted y deision of the Tournment Diretor under rtile 19.1 wishes to protest, it my do so following the proedures set out in Regultion 15.
