01 A NEW WAY OF BEING Whether we are working to free ourselves from emotional distress, or to awaken to a new way of being, noticing our patterns of mind is the beginning. We all share the simple wish to be happy. This realisation can help us feel a greater sense of connection and compassion to all human beings.

02 ABOUT YOUR TEACHER Nadia began yoga at the age of sixteen and ten years later trained to be a Hatha yoga teacher. Her training was in the eighties and early nineties with principal Joy Spencer from the Sivananda School of Yoga. Over the years she has taught adults and children and has experienced and seen the benefits of being with the breath and the mind-body connection. Nadia is a long time meditator who embodies the practices and brings a compassionate and empathetic approach to her teachings. As part of the mindfulness community Nadia shares her experience and resources linked to the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn, through MTIA, (Mindfulness Training Institute Australasia). Hatha Yoga teacher, Mindfulness meditation teacher in the Insight tradition and Reiki practitioner. Mother of two beautiful daughters and lives in Melbourne Australia. i enjoy cocreating by invitation with compassion

03 WHAT IS MINDFULNESS Mindfulness involves paying purposeful attention to our direct experience, with particular attitudes like openness and curiosity, non-judgment, patience, nonstriving, and acceptance. Mindfulness deliberately disrupts and erodes our habitual patterns and reactive approaches to more skillful receptive responses. The MBSR 8 week program is training in a process that leads to insights into the patterns of your mind and how they impact on your life. Learning through experiential practices how to cultivate mindfulness can transform your perspective on how you relate to your life. The cultivation of mindfulness is a practice in opening to the fullness of direct experience into the way one s world and self are constructed and interrelated, allowing for insight. It s not about relaxation, however stilling the mind and being able to relax is a component of a mindfulness approach that is beneficial. allowing purposeful attention to our direct experience

04 PROGRAM BENEFIT The course is for anyone who wants to reduce stress, chronic pain, anxiety and depression. To enhance relationships, be more resilient and less reactive to our habitual ways. Benefits include emotional regulation, reduction in stress, increased concentration, improved cognitive performance, better problem solving and memory processing. Less judgemental, more flexible thinking and improved quality of sleep. Able to cultivate selfcompassion for oneself and for others leading to increased well-being. Evidence shows that there is a reduction in inflammation in the body and one is better able to manage pain, anxiety and recurrent depression. bringing kindness & compassion to oneself These are some of the benefits people have experienced while they continue to practice mindfulness and embody the experiential deepening of their new way of being.
