Tuesday, February 13 at 11:30 a.m. Millis Regional Health Education Center 600 N. Elm Street, High Point The Beat Goes On: Atrial Fibrillation Causes, Symptoms and Treatment Atrial Fibrillation also known as AFib is when the heart develops an irregular and often rapid heartbeat. The heart normally contracts and relaxes to a regular beat but with atrial fibrillation, the upper chambers of the heart (the atria) beat irregularly (quiver) instead of beating effectively to move blood into the ventricles. AFib is a serious condition which can increase a person s risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart related issues. Join Dr. David Fitzgerald with UNC Regional Physicians Carolina Cardiology to learn more about the causes, symptoms and treatment of atrial fibrillation. Call today to reserve your space at this free event. Tuesday, February 20 at 5:30 p.m. Millis Regional Health Education Center 600 N.
