I hope that soon I will calling for an all hands on deck to clean up the Banquet Hall before the Board of Health inspection. Let s hope for no more delays. There has been an awesome response to our current activities. I hope this will continue to grow. It is the members that define what our lodge has become. Maria Bilodeau chaired, with the assistance of many other members, an extremely successful food drive. Sandy Boyer put together a wonderful trip to Foxwoods while raising money for the lodge and the kids Christmas Party. Cindy and Carlos Silva were the winners of the 50/50 and graciously donated their winnings to the kids Christmas Party. There are several requests from people and other organizations who cannot wait for us to be up and running. Once we get the green light we will be putting together some friendly functions and activities. Something we have been waiting a long time share with fellow members. I hope to see you there and enjoy some of the fun. I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and a Happy New Year. Fraternally, Rose-Marie Monahan Exalted Ruler exaltedruler@tauntonelks.org A Message from the Lodge Secretary Kristina MacEachern Hello all, As of November 20th we still have 107 delinquent members. I will at every lodge meeting (the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month) have a current delinquent list for members viewing. Our goal is to get this number down and help keep our membership. Your membership is greatly appreciated and goes along way to help YOUR local community. Please find the delinquent list in our current December newsletter. Please take a look at the list to see if by any chance you may know a member and could reach out to them. We are looking forward to retaining our membership because we have an exciting future in our reach. We as members of the Taunton lodge #150 need to come together and work together. I will mail your card ASAP if requested once your payment is made. Thank you, Kristina ~Have a Very Merry Christmas~

Lodge News and Updates The place to discuss Lodge business is on the floor at a Lodge Meeting. Lodge business should not be discussed in the VFW Pub. If you have any questions, issues or items of discussion please come to a lodge meeting, that is the where you will get the most updated and accurate information. Keep in mind rumors and hearsay distort the facts. Antlers Taunton Lodge #150 Grand Lodge has been working on reinstating the Antler Program. This program is for ages twelve to twenty. Elks programs benefit all ages. Now it will be all ages involved. Applications are now available at the VFW. The Taunton Holiday parade will be on Sunday December 3, 2017. Brenda Mullen and Sterling Isaac will again be coordinating our participation in the parade. To help replenish those funds, I encourage your Lodge or State Association to raise and donate what you can for this most important program. Without support, eventually we may not be able to continue to live up to our motto Elks Care Elks Share by easing the burden and lend a helping hand to the victims of major catastrophes. Prizes include: an I pad pro, queen size Elks t-shirt quilt and a Budweiser scratch ticket bucket. As we move forward to opening our lodge at its new location, we are looking ahead at new and exciting opportunities to join with our membership to support our community through the mission of the BPOE. {To inculcate the principles of Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity; to recognize a belief in God; to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of its Members; to quicken the spirit of American patriotism; to cultivate good fellowship; to perpetuate itself as a fraternal organization, and to provide for its government, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks of the United States of America will serve the people and communities through benevolent programs, demonstrating that Care and Share.} An active membership is a necessity. It is key to the future success of Taunton #150. On behalf of our lodge, your lodge, I humbly request your support in what ever way you are able. There is much work to be done. A TEAM approach is our best option. Giving a small amount of your time or just a little bit of your talent can go a long way. This is our/your lodge, it is what we/you make of it.
