It has never been easier to copy nature and make your patients ceramic dreams come true. Create beauty with Lava Ceram, the ceramic system of your choice! The product is the essence, based on experience

Dimensions of colour. Lava Ceram now it s realistic to measure yourself against the original. The new range of veneer porcelains offers more colour shades, more translucency and more opalescence than ever before. So you have every opportunity to create a perfect copy of nature - teeth that practically can't be distinguished from their natural models. High-Fluorescence Dentin Porcelains FLU-In FL1 6: Accentuate specific areas in dentin, e.g., mamelons, secondary dentin apply in thin layers or mix with framework modifier or dentin porcelain. Opaque Dentin Porcelains OD1 4: Support and intensify base colours apply in thin layers or mix with framework modifier or dentin porcelain. Transparent Opal Porcelains ICE1 + 2: Enhance penetration in the incisal area use like enamel and transpa porcelains. High-Opalescence Transpa Porcelains Nature N1 4: Create a natural opal effect in the incisal area with very translucent, youthful teeth and enhance brightness. They give the veneer a subtle gleam that appears reddish-yellowish to bluish use like enamel and transpa porcelains. Cervical Incisal Transpa Porcelains CI1 3: Intensify the colour intensity (chroma) in the cervical and incisal area use like transpa porcelains. Gingiva Porcelains G1 + 2: Recreate the original gum situation incorporate into first and/or second dentin baking; the colours can be mixed with Magic intensive porcelains. Correction Porcelains CR1 + 2: Create contact points with transparent or yellowish correction porcelain baking temperature: see Baking instructions.

Coat Lava crown with layer of fluore scent framework modifier matching the background colour. Apply matching dentin colour, e.g. A3, to the thinned-out cervical area. If wax-up available, dentin colour, here A1 A3, can be applied in matching tooth model with rear wall. Shaping with help of rear wall. Optimized dentin shape.

From palatal face, layer entire shape to match front wall. Cutting back dentin section for enamel porcelain sections to be applied later. Lengthening shape by 1 mm using two enamel porcelains, here E2 and E3 + CL, in alternation, in 50:50 proportion. Apply mamelon structures with thin layers of FLU-In porcelain, e.g. FL1 and FL3. Characterization of cutting face with individual Performer porcelains, Nature N3, N4, ICE1 and/or CI3. Complete modeling with enamel porcelains E2 and E3 + CL (50:50).

Apply OD3 in runny consistency to palatal face, centrally up to cutting face. Overlay Opaque Dentin with matching enamel porcelains and complete palatal modeling. Crowns after first baking. Corrections in incisal area matching desired colour, e.g. E2 or E3 enamel porcelain with Nature N2, and CI 3 in cervical area for warm colouration, followed by second dentin bake. Correct shaping with enamel porcelain and/or Nature, possibly with Opaque Dentin, e.g. OD2, in cervical area. Close interdental spaces, followed by second bake.

Corrections with enamel porcelain, Nature or CI to match shape and colour. Crowns after second baking. Completed final shape and surface. Completed work from palatal face. Completed Lava Ceram crowns, matching previous colour selection.

Note: The data on baking procedures and temperatures represent approximate values. Deviations depend greatly on the type and power of the oven, the location of the temperature sensor, the firing tray and the size of the workpiece. We recommend that you calibrate your oven as follows before using it with Lava Ceram: Program the oven for dentin baking Mix Lava Ceram Clear and model it in the approximate shape of the colour chip on the shade guide (Important: Respect the shape and thickness) Bake the test chip in accordance with the First dentin and enamel baking instructions After it has cooled off, compare the test chip s translucency and colour to the colour chip on the shade guide If the baked test chip matches the colour chip on the shade guide (middle), then you can continue working without making any adjustments (left: overbaked; right: underbaked). If you notice any deviations, then the baking program must be adapted. If the ceramic becomes too porous, opaque or rough, increase the baking temperature and/or decrease the preheat and vacuum start temperature, or check the vacuum pump and the oven for airtightness. If the ceramic is too pale and glassy, decrease the preheat temperature or the baking temperature.
