Middlesbrough Dementia Adviser Service Groups in Middlesbrough for people with Dementia and their carers

Aim of the Service Middlesbrough s Dementia Adviser Service will offer support tailored to meet individual needs. This will include emotional support, advice, referrals and signposting to specialist agencies and the development of peer support groups. Our service promotes empowerment and will help maximise independence. Our Groups- We have two groups a month- the luncheon club and our support group. These sessions are tailored to the needs and wishes of the group using group consultations clients decide the direction of the group. Most recently in the support group we have had CST sessions and time apart; this is where we split the group into carers and cared for giving opportunity to discuss issues openly without upsetting their counterpart. Anyone is welcome to come- no need to call ahead. 2 Dementia Adviser Service
