WINE DOWN FOR YOUTH ADVOCACY: A Wine Tasting and 1920 s Prohibition-Era Themed Fundraiser For The Prevention Of Child Abuse We are graciously asking local business owners and vendors to assist in our cause by providing sponsorships and donations to support our upcoming event: Wine Down for Youth Advocacy a prohibition-era fundraiser to support a very important need in our community the prevention of existing and/or potential neglect and abuse against children. Attendees will come dressed in their best 1920 s attire -- including beaded cocktail dresses and feathered headbands for the ladies, and pinstripe suits and fedoras for the men (suggest attire not required for the event). The event will feature wine tasting, heavy hors d oeuvres, live music, wine raffle, lottery and gift card raffle, best-dressed contest, prizes, and other surprises. The beneficiary will be Angels Against Abuse. Angels Against Abuse is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving youth residents of Pinellas County. All contributions are tax-deductible within the limits of the law and the beneficiary can provide proper tax documentation. About The Beneficiary: The mission of Angels Against Abuse is to build awareness and educate the community with regard to existing neglect and abuse against children. To provide support, monetarily and through hands-on volunteer hours, to neglected and abused children who are removed from an abusive situation and to those children and families who are at risk of losing their children because of such situations. We strive to bring together all available resources to help families achieve the best possible result from available government agencies, courts and services in the fastest possible manner when help is needed most. The Angels can only touch the surface of the many needs that these children and youth need in our community but we are making a difference and giving HOPE for a better tomorrow to children, youth and families who suffer at the hands of their abusers.
