Introduction South Fremantle s illustrious football history is one littered with many outstanding events, feats of champion footballers, champion teams and selfless dedication by committed coaches, officials and administrators. All have kept our great club at the forefront of football in Western Australia for over a century. Hundreds of players, coaches and administrators were researched, analysed discussed, compared and finally voted on to arrive at 45 names for induction into the Inaugural Hall of Fame. The final judgement was on overall contribution, quality of performance and the significance of an individual s impact at South Fremantle and Western Australian Football. Players, coaches, officials and administrators who began their association with our club, post 1980, were not considered for selection, however, their time will come in the not too distant future when the second intake occurs. The above is a brief summary of the clubs intention to recognise and enshrine those people who have made an outstanding contribution to our history. This prestigious event will also exist and act to inspire future generations to build on the club s successes and in doing so, preserve our pre-eminent status in the WAFL and sporting community. Special thanks to the Chairman of the Hall of Fame selection committee, Terry Dean, who was also ably assisted by Club Historian, Dr Steve Errington, John Todd, Murray MacDonald, Jim Christie and Richard Woodgate, with the Vice President, Peter Christie representing the Board, as an observer and CEO Brian Ciccotosto acting as minute taker.
