Imaging and Management of Adults with CHD PROGRAM DESCRIPTION This symposium will cover strategies in Non-Invasive imaging of adults with congenital heart disease to guide in management and determine outcomes. This activity will also elucidate challenges of imaging adults with congenital heart disease [CHD] and where cardiac catheterization and advanced congenital electrophysiological specialty involvement is indicated. There will also be focus on use of Non-Invasive imaging modalities inclusive of advanced echocardiography techniques as well as MRI along with challenges in surgery and heart failure management in adults with CHD. On Saturday, there will be a Hands-On learning opportunity on 3D and Myocardial Deformation set acquisition and manipulation. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: n Use appropriate imaging technology in diagnosis and management of adults with CHD. n Refer women with CHD to specialized care for management of pregnancy and in preparing for pregnancy. n Identify high risk features in adult CHD, especially in patients with Tetrology of Fallot, Aortopathy and Single ventricles. n Identify current barriers and create an action plan to increase appropriate use of multimodality imaging in congenital cardiac patients with different forms of heart failure. n Identify resources that need to be utilized and need for multidisciplinary teams in taking care of adults with congenital heart disease. WHO SHOULD ATTEND Adult and Pediatric Cardiologists, Cardiologists-in-Training, Sonographers, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the field of Adult and Pediatric Cardiology.
