Provide the student with sufficient theoretical background about the clinical procedures involved in constructing Removable Acrylic Complete Dentures. 2. Get in depth knowledge on over denture and immediate denture prostheses. 3. Provide students with practical hand-on training on repair rebase and reline of the complete dentures. 4. Provide students with practical hand-on training in the various steps involved in the fabrication of class II and class III complete dentures. Percentage 20% 25% 20 % 35 % Teaching & Learning Methods There will be a weekly lecture for 1hour, and one weekly lab for 6 hours during which a demonstration will be given for half an hour, followed by individual supervised lab sessions. The students are expected to fabricate one complete denture(upper and lower) from each class I class II, and class III occlusal jaw relation, and do repair, reline and rebase including all steps at lab.at the end of each lab the students are assessed by dental technology supervisors.
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to Related Objective(s) 1 Understand all advanced knowledge related to complete denture. 2 Be Familiar with all different materials and instruments used in various clinic and advanced technical procedures involved in construction of complete denture. 1-5 Understand the importance of communication process between dental labs and clinics.. 5 fabricate and process all the steps applied during fabrication different classes and types of complete denture, 3,4 Apply all advanced technique such as repair, rebase and reline, as well as understand the demand of those techniques.
