AIA Friday, November 9 About Since 2015, the Institute has served the architecture industry as a one-day, multi-location educational conference designed to connect many diverse leaders and emerging professionals seeking to advance their leadership potential in a national discussion. Through the Institute, new and veteran leaders together examine what leadership means, identify strengths and values, enhance their skills and explore how the profession can better engage and support the next generation of leaders. TECHNOLOGY We believe leadership education should be accessible for all AIA members, therefore this multi-venue conference model is aimed at leveraging technology to produce engaging mix of presentations and discussions. Using live stream and an integrated audience engagement platform, we connect four different cities and a virtual audience for the National Plenary Broadcast. Spanning all four time zones, the program features both local speakers and national keynotes. As an emerging professional, I got involved with the Institute to help continue to develop programming which provides tools to not only help lead from the top but empowers future leaders to challenge and advocate in their current positions.
