United High School Barbara A. Ruiz bruiz@unitedisd.org TASC District #: 15 Drugs / Alcohol [DA] Fundraising [FR] Date: October 2011 Pink-To-Do Braceletes To help raise awareness and fundraise for breast cancer. Student Body & Community Bandanas, scissors, buckets, tape, students, & deication October is breast cancer awarness month and to show our support, we can up with the idea to team up with a local breast cancer organization called Pink-To-Do. The week before October, we brought over 300 bandanas and ripped them up into strips about an 1'' thick. Then we grabed 3 different colors which were orange, pink, and white.then, taped one of the ends and started to braid the bandanas together. After that we tied the ends together, which later formed a braclete around your wrist. Finally, we sold them at the football game the week before October for a donation of two dollars or more. Instantly, we sold out before the 3 rd quarter. The final total of the sale was over a little over $3000. The sale was 100% non-profitable.
