In addition to our inpatient services at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, we offer a variety of outpatient specialty services at facilities across the region, such as: Oncology Patients at our recently remodeled facilities in Longview and on the Interstate campus receive treatment in comfortable chairs with private flat-screen televisions, and enough room for family or friends to keep them company. Excellence in inpatient care Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center is transforming health care in Oregon. We recently completed a $300 million modernization of the campus, located in Clackamas. The result is a comfortable, patient-centered environment a place where our expert teams provide high-quality, personalized health care. Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center is your home for a range of services including emergency care, surgical care, labor and delivery care, and general hospitalizations. Family birth center Our family birth center welcomes more babies than any other hospital in Clackamas County. Obstetricians and certified nurse midwives are on duty 24 hours a day, every day. We are the regional center for adult inpatient cancer care, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, and orthopedic surgery. Our health care teams work with state-of-the art equipment and technology, leading the way in a number of specialties. We believe in keeping newborns with their moms whenever possible. Our staff has special training to support mothers with breastfeeding. That helped earn us recognition as the Portland area s only baby friendly hospital from the World Health Organization. Center for Heart and Vascular Care Primary stroke center One of Oregon s newest heart care facilities, the Center for Heart and Vascular Care recently earned the top rating of three stars from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons based on 11 measures of quality. Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center is one of only 11 hospitals in Oregon to be designated a primary stroke center by The Joint Commission. That means we meet standards that allow for swift diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients, factors that can make all the difference in limiting the long-term effects of stroke. Our surgeons have a proven track record of performing balloon angioplasty and vascular stenting to unblock arteries. Heart coronary artery bypass, off-pump, minimally invasive, and valve surgeries are among the procedures offered onsite.
Patient-centered care that improves results Medicine is always changing. At Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, our programs are proven to enhance care. Here are just a few examples: By screening all inpatients for hyper gly cemia (high blood glucose), we can quickly control blood glucose levels and avert side effects. Our plan to reduce surgical wound infections lowered them by nearly half in less than a year. Emergency physicians treat patients who have infections that affect the whole body with the same urgency as a heart attack or stroke victim, which helps save lives. To prevent injuries from falls, patients are checked hourly (every two hours at night) to see if they need help getting out of bed. Implementing research results Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center physicians work with the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research to conduct studies at the hospital that show promise for improving health. Once results are known, our health care teams can put them to use right away.

The future of health is taking shape Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center Opening 2013 in Hillsboro s Tanasbourne neighborhood Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center campus by the numbers Kaiser Permanente Westside Medical Center will be Washington County s first new full service community hospital in more than 40 years. 8 operating rooms. The campus will also be home to the existing Sunset Medical Office and the new Westside Medical Office, a multi-specialty facility with imaging, pharmacy, and lab services.
