Seconded Cummins Treasurer s Report (attached) Secretary/Treasurer Margaret Hutton presented the Statement of Income and Expenditure and moved the adoption of the report. Seconded Port Lincoln. Correspondence: IN Inwards correspondence was tabled which included Chris Hayman s letter of resignation as SEPWBA recorder. Correspondence: OUT - tabled Election of Officers: All positions declared vacant SEPWBA President: Margaret Klose Moved Coffin Bay Seconded Cummins SEPWBA Vice President: Patsy Parsons Moved Coffin Bay Seconded Port Lincoln SEPWBA Secretary: Margaret Phillips Moved Coffin Bay Seconded Kirton Bank Signatories: Coffin Bay moved that the bank signatories be the SEPWBA President, Vice President and Secretary. Seconded Kirton

2 Verifier of Accounts: Coffin Bay moved that Marilyn Enright be appointed verifier of the SEPWBA accounts. Seconded Port Lincoln. Pennant Recorder Tumby Bay moved that Geoff Sinclair be appointed the SEPWBA Recorder. Seconded Cummins. Margaret Phillips agreed to be a back-up recorder if necessary SEPWBA Affiliation Fees Cummins moved that the affiliation fees be increased from $2 to $3. Seconded Kirton. RECOMMENDATIONS 1. That Rule 15:2 (page 34) is deleted from the SEPWBA Rules and Regulations Handbook. (Cummins/Coffin Bay) 2. That in season 2014/15 there be 2 Divisions. (Cummins/Port Lincoln) Lost 3. That we have two divisions 1 st and 2 nd (Coffin Bay) Withdrawn 4. That we have one Division12 sides (as per circulated sheet) Kirton/Tumby/carried. The Cummins delegate stated that the Kirton recommendation was too complex and should be examined in detail. Those present agreed. Outcome of Kirton s recommendation. (recommendation in full next page) (1) For one division with 3 teams of 4 players making 12 per side Kirton/Coffins/carried (2) Kirton/Lost (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) (8) Alternative to (4) marked with an asterisk Not discussed The meeting decided to rescind previously carried Recommendation 4 and amend Recommendation 4 to read that we have one Division 12 sides. Delegates expressed their concern that the number of sides was not known at this stage. Port Lincoln moved that the one division is not split. Seconded Cummins.

3 5. That we have no Divisions - 12 nominated sides, 3 teams of 4 players. Top six play for Pennant, bottom six for Shield (Tumby Bay) 6. That a Club with only 1 team entered for pennants must play 1 st Division (Cummins) 7. That there be NO BYE in 1 st Division (Cummins) Withdrawn 8. That winner of Division 2 be promoted to Division 1 (Tumby Bay)

4 9. That SEPWBA revert back to playing teams of four in Pennants (Cummins) 10. (2 nd choice) That we play Fours 3 teams of 4 in both Division 1& 2 Old format to be used. (Tumby Bay) 11. That in season 2014/15, 1 st Division is sides of 16 (4x4) and 2 nd Division is sides of 16 (4x4). (Cummins) st Division sides of 4 x 4 16 players 2 nd Division sides of 3 x 4 12 players (Port Lincoln) 13. (2 nd choice) Division 1 4 teams of 4 players. Division 2 3 teams of 4 players (Kirton) 14. That in season 2014/15, 1 st Division is sides of 16 (4x4) and 2 nd Division is sides of 12 (3x4).(Cummins) ends for both divisions (Port Lincoln) 16 That we play 25 ends of 4 s for Pennants (Cummins/Port Lincoln) 17. That we have 3 bowl triples (Coffin Bay) 18. That a side consists of 4 teams of 3 (Coffin Bay) 19. If triples is the format next season that the number of ends for Division 1 and Division 2 shall be 20 ends (Coffin Bay) 20. (2 nd choice) Pennants be 3 bowls triples 1 st Division sides of 4 x 3 12 players 2 nd Division sides of 4 x 3 12 players 25 ends for both Divisions (Port Lincoln) 21. If SEPWBA play triples for Pennants that we have sides of 12. (4x3) (Cummins) 22. (3 rd choice) Triples 3 bowls, 25 ends. Two top divisions 3 teams of 3 players, second division 3 teams of 3 players (Kirton) 23. If SEPWBA play triples for Pennants that we have 3 bowl triples. (3x3x2) (Cummins) 24. SEPWBA play triples for Pennants that we play 1 game of 25 ends (Cummins) 25. In the Handbook under MANAGEMENT OF PLAYERS in Minor Rounds (Page 6), delete (b) (Cummins/Tumby Bay) 26. Players to be promoted up all season until last three matches (including bye) (Kirton) Withdrawn 27. Extend Pennants season to mid April (Port Lincoln/Kirton) Lost 28. Page 13 Club Events - Alter to no club to have more than one event of any type in a season, Association & Region 5 matches exception. (Coffin Bay/Kirton) Lost

5 29. That when holding a tournament with full catering that host club to determine cost for players & non players & that they advertise this on their flyers (Tumby Bay/Cummins) 30. Catering that guideline of cost of BYO days be $10 (Tumby Bay/Cummins) 30(a) SEPWBA Singles not be compulsory but BYO lunch (Tumby Bay/Cummins) 31. On Open Days & Invitation Days Clubs charge at their discretion (Port Lincoln) 32. Page 13 Catering - That this section be deleted from the Handbook (Coffin Bay) 33. That the Clarice Hammond 4 s be a Port Lincoln Club competition, not a SEPWBA Competition (Cummins/Port Lincoln) Tumby Bay moved that the word Club be deleted from the motion. Seconded Port Lincoln. The motion with the included amendment 34. That the Clarice Hammond Shield cease, use shield for minor trophy (Tumby Bay) 35. Program Numbers: Coffin Bay 15, Cummins 40, Kirton 60, Port Lincoln 60, Tumby Bay 30 Club Selectors for Association 4 s: Coffin Bay Kath Lyon-Green Cummins Karen Lynch Kirton Port Lincoln Vi Lennell Tumby Bay Carlene Fraser Association 4 s Anne Swaffer advised that it was Kirton s turn to host this event in 2014 Names are to be forwarded to the Association Selector by 3 rd November 2014 Port Lincoln advised that Cathy Myers did not wish to continue as Association 4 s Manager. Anne Swaffer kindly volunteered to become the new Association 4 s Manager. Selectors for Round Robin and Prestige Medley Kirton moved that Jeanette Wiseman be elected as a selector. Seconded Cummins. Cummins moved that Pat Phelps be elected as a selector. Seconded Port Lincoln.

6 Women s Country Carnival: no dates available SEPWBA SINGLES The event will be held at Tumby Bay on Friday 30 th January 2015 SEPWBA Champions of Champions: at Coffin Bay, possibly the beginning of April depending on pennant program. Pennant Sides: to Association Secretary by 1 st August Pennant Program Start: 9 th October Region 5 AGM Meeting: Lock Sunday 1 st June Web Site Chris Gardner spoke about a combined SEPMBA and SEPWBA web site. The Association will contact Geoff Sinclair to clarify the website issue. Pennant Results: It is the responsibility of clubs to ensure that their pennants results have been recorded correctly. It was suggested that the women s results be published in the Lincoln Times. The Association will ask Geoff Sinclair about this. Any Other Business: Kirton requested that the Handbook be updated to reflect the changes made at the meeting. The Association Secretary said that this would be attended to. Marie Mahoney expressed her concerns regarding the new one division format and club selection of teams especially where there are strong players. SEPWBA AGM: Coffin Bay commented that the AGM would be held about the same date next year. However Kirton and Port Lincoln suggested later in the month as they had not held their AGMs yet. Vote of Thanks: Kath Lyon-Green thanked the outgoing executives and Tumby Bay for a job well done as host club also thanking them for their hospitality and good food during the year The meeting closed at 12 noon.
