1 February Health Impact Report 1,391,742 Feb'10 DALYs: 7.5% of strategic target goal is 14% 26% decrease from Feb'09 Feb' 10 DALYs include: :: 1,350,675 product s :: 41,067 BCC DALYs todate in 9 countries: Cambodia, El Salvador, Honduras, India, Kenya, Laos, Nicaragua, Russia, and South Africa (see R&M KIX for specific behaviour change behind the impact) Feb' 10 CYPs: :: 2,036,171 CYPs, 3% decrease from Feb' 09 Starting Feb' 10, two new metrics have been included in the Health Impact report package: :: Price to Consumer :: Trade Margin The reason we have these two new metrics is to regularly monitor the price P and encourage more active price management. The two new metrics are introduced for male condoms only because male condoms are the biggest DALY producers among sold products, and our most common, and thus comparable, product. :: To draw attention to those brands that are sold at significantly under average prices, we flagged brand prices that are 8 (or less) of the PSI regional average consumer price. :: To highlight where we might increase our cost recovery by reducing trade margins, we flagged brands that offer a total trade margin (consumer price less lowest trade price) of 12 of more of the PSI regional average trade margin. :: The February Health Impact Report does not include program targets because they are not complete yet. We will include them in the March Health Impact Report if the coutry programs have finalized them by then. :: Strategic Target, YearEnd Performance and Program Estimate DALYs 24,000,000 20,570,714 20,000,000 18,513,643 16,000,000 12,000,000 8,000,000 10,285,357 10,285,357 12,342,429 9,538,469 14,399,500 13,400,382 16,456,572 15,208,244 9,631,837 (annualized) 4,000,000 Strategic Target YearEnd Performance This report was produced with DALY translation model version 13.
