Nelle s experience as Special Needs Educator with working with children on the Autism Spectrum, from Elementary School through to University age, has given her an indepth knowledge and understanding of the intricate nature of Asperger s Syndrome and Autism. 2 Sensory Detective Workshop The full day Decoding Autism/Asperger s behaviours through sensory awareness training includes Nelle s Sensory Detective workshop. This provides a detailed description of individuals with Autism/Asperger s Syndrome, including profiles on the neurology, biology, cognitive processing, perception differences and learning styles of those with the condition. This training gives Teachers, Professionals and Families a vivid insight into the intricacies of Autism and provides participants a myriad of strategies to successfully engage individuals on the Spectrum. Participants will learn specific techniques for dealing with challenging behaviours and how to decrease stress in individuals with Autism. The Sensory Detective Workshop is a high-impact, interactive simulation that allows you to look at Autism/Asperger s from the inside out! With this knowledge, you ll find adopting accommodations strategies becomes second nature! Participants are provided a practical model for successful Post-school Transition, using a step-by-step template guide. You ll Case-Manage a scenario and collaborate outcomes in small groups. You ll discuss research about Sexuality and Gender Identity and identify the skills necessary for Autistic individuals to establish successful and ongoing Relationships. An FBA requires observing the individual, meeting with stakeholders and the individual separately. Compilation of a comprehensive report and a list of recommendations. FBA Fee $360-AUD Mini Asperger s Workshop great for Dad s Nelle offers an informative presentation, which includes an overview of the characteristics of Autism Spectrum Condition, meltdown strategies and techniques and a Sensory Simulation activity. 2 hours (up to 10 participants) $1950-AUD Customised Training / Workshop Nelle and her team specialise in providing the right training for your individual needs.
