1 Minnesota Summer Institute: Evidence based Practices for Children with ASD Roseville, MN, July 13-17, 2009 The National Professional Development Center on Autism Spectrum Disorders is a multi university project whose goals are to promote high quality programs and implementation of evidence based practices for children and youth with ASD, increase the number of highly qualified personnel serving children and youth with ASD, and to increase the capacity of states to implement EBP and to train highly qualified personnel. Summer Institute Goals 1. Provide content on quality indicators and EBP that will eventually be used for state training. 2. Prepare practitioners and technical assistance providers to use quality indicators and EBP. 3. Identify strategies for applying content of the Summer Institute to existing needs in the state. 4. Promote teamwork and a systems change perspective that assures that project activities will continue after involvement with the NPDC ASD ends.
