1 Translational Psychiatry Laboratory Cognitive Neurobiology Division Neurobiology Research Centre National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences Bangalore India. SUNIL VASU KALMADY sunilkalmadi@gmail.com EDUCATION Doctor of Philosophy, Neuroscience - Neuroimaging & Immunogenetics in Schizophrenia Thesis: "Neuroanatomical & Immunogenetic Correlates of Limbic System in Schizophrenia" National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore 2014 Master of Science, Computer Science, Sikkim Manipal University Master of Science, Medical Biotechnology, Manipal Life Sciences Centre, Manipal University Bachelor of Science, Medical Biotechnology, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University RESEARCH THEME Neurobiology of Psychiatric disorders Structural and Functional Neuroimaging Scientific computing, statistical modelling and machine learning RESEARCH OUTLINE AND INTEREST My primary research involves study of structural and functional brain aberrations in psychiatric conditions using neuroimaging methods and exploring their relationship with clinical symptoms and underlying genetic and neurobiological factors. My future research interest lies in integration and modelling of multilevel data across various modalities along the "genetics to brain to behaviour" axis. Such an approach would be targeted towards discovery of composite biomarkers that are diagnostic or prognostic in nature and hope to aid in personalized medicine. RESEARCH PROJECTS - current Research Associate Supervisor/ Principal Investigator: Dr. G.
