3 SOC Project Overview The COACT project was designed to serve a very select group of youth with serious mental health needs who are involved with multiple service systems (e.g. Mental Health, Juvenile Justice, Substance Abuse, Education, Child Welfare) These youth receive high fidelity wraparound and/or services from a family advocate as part of the SOC 3

19 Interim Conclusions Nearly 70% of youth engaged in the SOC demonstrated success on at least one WIG measure (Perception of Care, School Functioning, Decrease in Crisis/Correctional Nights, or Level of Functioning Measures of Family Functioning showed improvement on self assessment measures as well as professional rated measures Social Connectedness/Social Support was significantly improved on the self report measure (NOMs); there was a trend in the right direction in the professional rated measure (CCAR), though it was not significant Depressive Symptoms also seemed to improve but not statistically significantly on either measure (NOMs or CCAR), however, Overall MH Symptoms and Overall Level of Functioning did improve on the professional rated instrument (CCAR) Other measures (SA, School Performance, and Daily Life) all showed trends toward improvement (Both CCAR and NOMs) 19
