4 15 Types of Breast Cancer Ductal Carcinoma Non invasive cancer cell found in the breast milk duct that have not spread outside the ducts Infiltrating Ductal Carcinoma (IDC) Begins in the milk ducts, than spreads to surrounding tissue Medullary Breast Cancer (IDC) Rare Stats in the milk duct and spreads beyond. Mucinous Carcinoma ( IDC) Cancer cells that float in pools of mucus, it begins in the milk ducts Tubular Carcinoma (IDC) Tube shape Structures called Tubules. It is less aggressive. Papillary Cancer (IDC) Fingerlike Projection Phyllodes Breast Tumors Leaf like structure of cells, grow quickly, rarely spread outside of the breast tissue. 15 Types of Breast Cancer Cribriform Carcinoma (IDC) Cells invade the stroma if the connected tissue in the breast, nesting between lobes Lobular Carcinoma in SITU Cancer that is contained in the breast lobes, not spread in breast tissue Invasive Lobular Cancer Cancer Cells in the Lobes of the breast that has spread to surrounding tissue. Triple Negative Breast Cancer Cells have no receptors for estrogen progesterone or I triple negative. Chemotherapy and radiation are often used Inflammatory Breast Cancer Aggressive and rapid growing, infiltrates, the skin and lymph producing a Tumor. Begins with swelling, sensitivity, redness and firmness. Metastic Breast Cancer or Stage 4 Cancer that spreads to other organs of the body Paget s Disease of the Breast Scaly rash in skin of the nipple, darker skin color, similar to psoriasis. Often an Indicator that there are cancer cells in the breast tissue behind the nipple.
