4 Heat induced radiofrequency thermal ablation (RTA) is a consolidated, safe and minimally invasive approach for the treatment of hepatic nodular lesions and neoplasm of different organs (kidney, spleen, prostate, breast, lung, bone) RTA has been proposed as a new tool for the treatment of thyroid nodules.
