I am studying Nursing, and I plan to study Business and Food Science.
2 Q&A with SADIE SADIE answers questions about her life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Ambitious, practical, adventurous, passionate, courteous, diligent. Describe your strong sides: I do not engage in arguments. I do not cause problems, I solve them. I m extremely passionate. I want to cause change in the world, and I believe I can. I am accepting of every person. Describe your weak sides: I do not always stick up for myself. I d rather avoid confrontation than speak up. I m not always frank, even in situations where I want to be. I don t always say what I m thinking. What is your marital status? In a relationship. Do you have any children? My son has blue/green eyes and strawberry blond hair. He s five years old and is 47 inches tall and weighs 46.3 lbs. He s extremely smart. He is only 5 years old, and can do piece puzzles on his own (which is his favorite thing to do). He loves swimming and playing at the beach. He is starting to read, so he loves being read to aloud. He is tall for his age. He has no health issues. He is very intuitive. He is very kind and somewhat shy. Which types of sport do you play or have played? Cheerleading. Which other types of sports are you interested in? Tennis, swimming. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 7. Do you eat healthy? I try. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? Sometimes. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? A glass of wine every few days. Which countries have you visited: The Bahamas, Iceland, United Kingdom, United States. Describe the best holiday you have had: My favorite holiday is either Christmas or Thanksgiving because I love having my family all together and eating a lot of food. My favorite holiday was probably Christmas of 2006, when my grandma redecorated my room, because I ve always been really interested in interior design. I loved Thanksgiving because when I was younger, we would go to visit my dad s side of the family, and my grandma would make homemade noodles, which are the absolute best. What do you like the most about your own country: I like the opportunities we have and the diversity of people. List any other hobbies you may have or have had: Writing, wakeboarding, travel, and experiencing new places. List which musical instruments you play or have played: None. Religion: Non-religious.
3 Q&A with SADIE - continued SADIE s dreams, favorites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? The American actress Shailene Woodley, because she is a huge activist for people who need a voice. I respect and appreciate people trying to cause change and to make this country accepting of gender, sexuality, and ethnicity. These are the kinds of people I idolize. It is not really any one person, but generally people fighting for the rights I really hold dear to my heart. What are your goals in life? I want to be happy. I want to an imprint on people in a positive way. I want to eventually start an organization that helps homeless youth. I have a long bucket list of places I d like to travel as well. What were your childhood dreams: I ve always wanted to be a nurse or doctor, and to help people. I m starting to realize that I can help people in other ways than just being in the medical field. Now I want to do everything. What is your favorite color? I love neutral colors (black, white, grey), and I love yellow because it s bright and looks happy. What is your favorite animal? Elephants, because they are smart, nurturing and loyal. What is your favorite kind of food? Vegan macaroni and cheese; I m vegan and mac and cheese has always been my favorite. What is your favorite kind of music: I love all music, although I m not a big country music fan, but there are a few older country songs I enjoy. Some of my favorites are indie pop, classic and soft rock, folk rock, and alternative rock. Which values do you rank the highest? Compassion, acceptance, honesty, love. Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? My grandmother has always been my biggest role model. She is strong, smart and witty. She was forced to give up her daughter at 15 years old. She has tried to find her for years, but hasn t been able to. I think her strength has left the biggest impression on me. Since she gave her daughter up, I have watched her lose two other children, and still, she has a beam of light around her. She is kind, even though the world has not been kind to her. She is still strong. Which was your greatest experience or moment? Traveling to Iceland, because, if you ve ever been there you know, it actually takes your breath away. Happiest: Having my son. He has brought so much joy to my family and to me. Funniest: Driving stick shift transmission car in England on the wrong side of the road. Scariest: Driving a stick shift in England. Proudest: While it was also funny and scary, not crashing while driving a stick shift in England made me very proud, too. Most dangerous: Entering into a roundabout in England! Greatest sorrow: Watching my grandma receive the news that her son had died in a car accident. I still cry when I think about it. What is your favorite kind of car: Hybrid cars, because they are better for the environment. What is your favorite kind of pet: My black lab breed of dog, and my bunny! What is your favorite time of year: Winter in the south, fall everywhere else, because the weather is perfect. What is your favorite book and/or author: Eat, Pray, Love. What is your favorite movie and/or director: Because I Said So, The Proposal, and Cowspiracy. I will watch pretty much anything.
