Who Is Biowave? BioWave is a patented smarter pain blocking technology that delivers therapeutic electrical signals through skin into deep tissue to pain nerves blocking the pain signal to the brain. BioWave works like Novocain, except BioWave is blocking the pain signal electrically instead of chemically. Used by most Professional sports teams including the NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL as well as by our U.S Military Veterans in over 80 VA Hospitals Page 2 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE

Clinical & TechnicalOverview Page 3 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE

Problem with Existing StimulationTechnologies Low Frequency signals (1-180 hz) are required to affect nerve fibers. Problem - skin has high impedance and capacitance. Low Frequency (LF) signals regardless of the shape of the waveform cannot pass through skin -LF signals only travel across the surface of skin and never get to the pain nerves conducting the pain signals. (This is the Fundamental problem with TENS). PNS and SCS devices can deliver low frequency signals to pain nerves because they areimplanted with leads placed in the proximity of the nerve to bestimulated. Page 4 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE

Solution toproblem Patented Advanced Signal Technology BioWave alternates the delivery of two summed High Frequency (HF) signals (3858 hz hz) back and forth totwo independent electrodes As the 2 HF signals pass through skin into deep tissue, all polarized structures including nociceptive pain fibers (C-fiber, A-delta fiber) and muscle tissue causea further multiplication of the 2 HF signals (this is known as a Fourier Transform) Result is a new spectrum of signals, one of which is a Low Frequency (LF) signal in the form of an active electrical field in a 3 diameter hemisphere beneath each electrode, which encompasses all local painnerves, blocking the transmission of the pain signal to the brain. VS. TENS cannot delivery low frequency through skin to pain nerves PNS and SCS have to be implanted and can cost $80,000 plus $5,000 per year in maintenance costs. Page 5 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE

Mechanisms ofaction Before Frequency Conduction Block Active electrical field forms at the surface of nerves ina 3 diameter hemisphere beneath both electrodes and is effective at blocking both nociceptive and neuropathic pain. Hyperpolarization of C Fibers -Active electrical field inhibits sodium potassium ion exchange across the membrane of C-fibers preventing action potential propagation Hypoesthesia is induced on A-delta Fibers - Hypoesthesia is induced 5 min into the treatment -Light numbness lasts for up to 20 minfollowing a 30-mintreatment OTHER BENEFITS -Blood flow is accelerated through volume of tissue in hemisphere where active electrical field is present -Muscle tissue held in tension during treatment. As a result, the treatment feels like a deep smooth pressure sensationand is much more comfortable than other forms of electrical stim (IFC, NMES, TENS) -Long carry over effect following treatment is from more efficient production of endogenous opiates endorphins, enkephalins, serotonin Page 6 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE

Simple touse The results of our first human clinical studies allowed for the design of very simple tousepain therapy systems No programming Signals are optimized for passing through skin and blocking pain directly on nociceptive pain fibers Only control is intensity Patients control their own comfort level Active feedback control preventspatients from receiving a burn Very simple touse FDA Cleared Manufactured in USA Page 7 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE

BioWave ClinicalStudies Results from Clinical Studies Excellent treatmentoutcomes - 85% patient response rate - 50%-75% reduction in VAS pain scores -Significant increase in ROM, reductionin stiffness and muscle spasm Long carry overeffect -30-minute treatment providescontinued pain relief and functional improvement: - for up to 24 hours with noninvasive electrodes and - for up to 72 hours with percutaneous electrodes Extremelycomfortable - Deep smooth pressure sensation - Excellent patient compliance Page 8 BioWave BioWave.com BIOWAVE
