1 EVD Daily Situational Report - Kambia District Sierra Leone 24 June 2 Highlights of 24 th June 2 Zero () New EVD Case reported on 24 June 2 For the last 7 days, two (2) new EVD Cases were reported from Kadalo Village, Tonko- Limba chiefdom and for the last 21 days, 12 EVD new EVD Cases were reported from four villages: Kadalo, Kagboto, Kambia 1, and Barmoi Luma chiefdoms respectively. 19 death alerts reported from the 7 chiefdoms and only 1 live alert from Tonko - Limba Chiefdom. 11 laboratory samples were processed (2 blood and 9 Swab samples) and all tested negative for EVD. 18 households with 693 people are under quarantine. New admission at the ETC - 1; The total number of suspected cases currently at Ebola treatment Center (ETC) - 5; Total number of EVD confirmed positive cases admitted - 2; Total number of discharged cases - ; Total number of Confirmed Death at the ETU - ; The total number of community deaths is 19. On the 24 June there were 19 swabs and 1 live alert reported. Laboratory investigation was conducted on all swabs and bloods samples. ( Pls. See the lab result in the laboratory section II )

One blood sample was found to be positive from Kadalo, in the Tonko-Limba chiefdom.,

Almost 43% of the households are from Kagboto village in the Tonko- Limba chiefdom; 39% from Kadalo; about 6% from Rosinor in the Samu chiefdom and the rest from Kambia 1 and 2 in Magbema, Bayanday and Numeya village in Tonko-Limba. The number of households from Mambolo and Masungbala are few. There was no death reported in the quarantine households during the last 7 days. 5 During the last seven days in Kambia district in the Ebola treatment center a total of n=51 suspected cases were admitted. Out of which 1 case was confirmed EVD positive from Kadalo village in the Tonko-Limba Chiefdom. Ten (1) suspected cases were discharged. Additional n=5 cases died in the ETU while they were under treatment. Currently, there are 4 new cases admitted at the ETU. V: Cross border Forecariah Guniea No new EVD confirmed case reported on 24 June 2. Kambia No new EVD confirmed case reported on 24 June 2. Port Loko One (1) confirmed EVD case reported on 24 June 2. A team from Kambia led by the district office (Kambia) participated in the launching of the quarantine of Koleteya village in the Sikhourou sub-prefecture in Forecariah. Experience was shared on quarantine of contacts.
6 Forecariah - Guniea For the last 7 days, three villages have been reporting new EVD Cases from Forecariah- Guniea which is sharing a common border with Kambia Sierra Leone. These villages are Kolotoyah in the Sikhourou,,Fadje in the Farmoriah sub-prefecture and one village in the Benty Prefecture. For the last 21 days a total of n= new EVD Cases were reported from Farmoriah, Moussayah and Sikhourou. Kolotoyah village in Sikhourou is a hotspot village has been affected on three consecutive days by new EVD Cases. Port Loko For the last Seven days (7 days), three new EVD cases were reported from Port Loko district from ROTIFUNK and KASONGHA villages from Kaffu-Bullom chiefdom and MAMUSA village from Marampa chiefdom.
