One ENT OPD treatment unit VMS make latest model consists of suction, mirror warmer, cold light source head light with imported cable, otoscope, thermal cautery with attractive TFT MONITOR OF 11 with 2 metal Endoscope holder with 2 chip camera with electrically operated patient chair and doctor s chair 2. FLEXIBLE NASO PHARYNGOLARYNGOSCOPE in a fully split air condition room. Flexible endoscope of 4.9mm with 2mm instrument channel with suction channel with suction channel with OTV SYC camera ( picture in picture ) digital smart medium card of OLYMPIS of JAPAN make with SONY MONITOR LCD with RBG printer of Hp and software package. 3. B.E.R.A BIOLOGIC NAVIGATOR PRO is available in the ENT OPD and is used for investigating Deafness and Tinnitus patients. The OAE Facility in the instrument is used in screening new born infants for deafness. 11. The state of the art STRYKER MICRODEBRIDER AND MICRODRILL system in the Operation theatre is used in performing Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. 12. The RADIOFREQUENCY COABLATOR Is used in the Surgical treatment of Obstructive sleep apnoea. FACILITIES AVAILABLE - In addition to routine E.N.T care we are providing comprehensive treatment for Micro Otological, Micolaryngeal and Functional endoscopic surgery. Our E.N.T OP department is well equipped with modern sophisticated, high tech, costly equipments. Sound proof fully split air condition audiometry room and speech therapy room. The department has state of the art of operation theatre. We are doing all advanced modern endoscopic aided surgery as endoscopic stapedectomy, endoscopic septoplasty, endoscopic myringoplasty and endoscopic mastoidectomy and endoscopic dacrocystorhinostomy, Functional endoscopic sinus surgery Head and neck surgery as parotidectomy, Thyroid surgery, Micro ear and micro laryngeal surgery are done with sophisticated video system only. - Minor surgical procedure as antral wash, incision & drainage for abscess FNAC - Daily diagnostic Rigid nasal endoscopic facilities - Daily diagnostic Oto endocopic facilities - Daily video flexible nasopharyngolayngoscope facilities - Daily Audiometry and speech therapy facilities - Daily screening for deafness with BERA and OAE - Weekly headache clinics and vertigo clinic. - The Department of ENT, Meenakshi Medical College has been approved by the Chief Ministers Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme Of Tamilnadu. All Investigations, Surgeries, Hearing Aid dispensing and follow up of the patients under the list in this scheme, are being conducted in this Department.
