In the last one year, Institute had done a commendable job in initiating many innovative activities, towards, skill development & successfully implementing the digital admission services as part of Digital India initiative of Government of India. Besides initiatives have undertaken to enable Free WiFi campus to the entire institute premise, through Reliance JIO. Now we all can be proud to be part of the ISO 9001:2015 certified institute, providing better quality services, ensuring resilient society for all. The names of institute s regional centers have been also changed disolving regional disparity. We have now, Regional Centre-Noida, Regional Centre-Kolkata, Regional Centre-Secundrabad, and Regional Centre-Jalna. In past three months we also had visit of special dignitaries to the institute. 3 Page-5 CHILDREN S DAY CELEBRATED AT KOLKATA REGIONAL CENTRE The Kolkata regional centre of AYJNISHD(D) celebrated the Children s Day on 14th November 2017, with special participation of children with speech and hearing disabilities. The participation of more than 50 children in preschool and early childhood education centre, enhanced the celebration. The competition program were conducted for singing, dancing and drawing. The expo was conducted from th December to 14 th December, 2017 at the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC). It is an autonomous organization under Ministry of Culture, Government of India covering the states of Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Odisha, Sikkim, Tripura, West Bengal and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, registered under West Bengal Society Registration Act Kolkata. The participation of the children, encouraged their talents, and their parents were motivated for early intervention. AYJNISHD(D) & DEAF EXPO-2017 The Kolkata regional centre of AYJNISHD(D) participated in the Deaf Expo It is an international conference organised by West Bengal State Association of the Deaf (WBSAD) in collaboration with eastern zonal cultural centre, Ministry of Culture, Govt of West Bengal. Mr. B.N.Rao, Assistant Director of Kolkata Regional Centre was invited as Chief Guest in the Inaugural Programme. In his address he emphasized the details of on Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act An exhibition was also organised by the staff of Disability Information Line & Indian Sign Language training cell staff of Kolkata Regional Centre (KRC) during the program. KOLKATA REGIONAL CENT RE OF AYJNISHD(D) IN NORTH EAST Kolkata Regional Centre of AYJNISHD (D) conducted for two days diagnostic cum fitment service camp at Mokokchung, Nagaland on 16 th and 17 th November, The programme was conducted in collaboration with Care and Support Society, Mokokchung. The beneficiaries included 97 hearing impaired persons. They were fitted with 99 hearing aids, as per ADIP scheme of Govt. of India.

4 Page-7 SERD OF AYJNISHD (D) CONDUCTS ORIENTATION WORKSHOP OUTREACH AND EXTENSION SERVICES OF AYJNISHD(D) A two days orientation workshop was conducted for Assessment and Certification of Skill Training Program for persons with disabilities, at AYJNISHD(D) by SocioEconomic Rehabilitation Department (SERD) on 28th & 29th November The program was conducted in collaboration with Skill Council for Persons with Disabilities (SCPD) and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The Outreach and Extension Service Department (OESD) of AYJNISHD (D) provided its services through diagnostic and fitment to 61 hearing impaired beneficiaries at RI-Bhoi, in the rural areas of Meghalaya state in the North East of India, on 11th & 12th Oct Diagnostic and fitment services were also provided to 410 beneficiaries at Ramnagar district of Karnataka state. The program was inaugurated by Shri Anup Srivastava, CEO, SPwD through a key note speech and discussions in various sessions during the two days program.
