XpressFit new fitting strategy from HANSATON Based on professional healthcare experience, HANSATON, aims to provide ultimate listening comfort while ensuring optimal audibility together with XpressFit. Originating from Connexx-Fit, NAL-NL2 and experience from hearing care professionals, XpressFit provides easy fitting for the dispenser, at the same time spontaneous acceptance and long term benefit for the end user. XpressFit takes into account individuals amplification needs, by using new compression system with two CKs and two CRs, thereby ensuring that soft sounds are audible, average sounds are optimal and loud sounds are comfortable, for any hearing loss. Additionally extended multichannel MPO system ensures better match to frequency dependent UCL values, making sure that loud sounds are comfortable. To ensure spontaneous acceptance and comfort, XpressFit sets the relevant adaptive features to the necessary steps. For example, for open fittings when detecting a critical situation in which the hearing aid has a possibility of feedback, XpressFit checks for acoustical parameters, required insertion gain (IG) that is being provided and sets the feedback cancellation system to appropriate strength. Targets that are used in XpressFit ensure optimal sound quality, while providing the necessary gain. XearA technology offers improved reliability, accuracy and speed when identifying diverse situations. The Situation Optimizer generates optimum speech intelligibility and the best possible hearing comfort with an optimized frequency response and optimum amplification for every hearing situation, without the need for adjustments in program or volume. Acclimatization Manager. First-time wearers often perceive their hearing instruments as too loud or uncomfortable, which may lead them to reject the hearing instruments. The Acclimatization Manager slowly increases gain over a specific period of time until the selected target is reached. During acclimatization, the frequency response is continuously changed and the user's behavior is also taken into account. If the user raises or lowers the volume multiple times, the acclimatization is speeded up or slowed down respectively, since it is presumed that the user wishes for a stronger or weaker amplification (Intelligent Acclimatization Manager**). Values -/+ db db offsets for the precise gain adjustments (from - to +5 db). Speech in quiet environments (default situation) Speech in quiet is the default setting for the universal program. Pre-listen The final acclimatization goal may be heard in advance. Duration The period of acclimatization is programmed. Overall -/+ Broadband adjustment of the current setting (quieter or louder). Preset* Predefined, situation-based offsets as starting points for the fine tuning. Acclimatization start Definition of the initial/final settings Individual acclimatization In order to create individual acclimatization goals, both positive and negative acclimatization steps can be selected in diverse channels during the fitting. Typical workflow: 1. Conduct First Fit 2. Activate Situation Optimizer 3. Adjust gain offsets for the different situations (e.g.: With music, more amplification is desired in the deeper frequencies; less broadband amplification is desired in noisy situations) 4. The setting can be made audible (loudspeaker symbol) while presenting an acoustic sample of the target environment 5. To restore the original situation (speech in quiet), select the corresponding loudspeaker symbol i Situation Optimizer is only available for the 1st program. Use case 1: The aim of First Fit is to have spontaneous acceptance, not too much amplification but good sound quality. Thus, a First Fit with NAL-NL2 7 % (7 % of the original NAL-NL2 target amplification) can be performed. The goal is a fitting with NAL-NL2 %. In this case the Acclimatization Manager can acclimatize from NAL-NL2 7 % (initial point) to NAL-NL2 % (target point). Use case 2: The current setting is the optimal setting in terms of speech recognition, and is thus the goal of acclimatization. The HANSATON minimedia and Media remote controls transmit audio signals and take on all the functions of a classic remote control. The remote control can work with two external transmitters, allowing connection to multiple audio devices without unplugging and replugging. T In public facilities with induction loop systems, the remote control picks up signals through an induction coil in the remote control, which then relays the signal from the loop directly into both hearing systems. Televisions and stereo systems connect with the remote control via the transmitter, providing a resonant stereo experience in the hearing instruments themselves. Bluetooth transmitters for MP3 players and laptops can be connected wirelessly with the remote control using Bluetooth.
