Ref: (1) (2) DCI Letter No. DE /941 dated DCI Letter No. DE /3330 m dated Sir, I am directed to invite your kind attention to DCI's circular No. DE-16? -2015/941 dated and subsequent reminder dated on the above mentioned subject whereby all the dental institutions in the country have been requested to furnish the requisite information in the prescribed format as per DCI Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Dental Colleges, 2009 as per annexure-ii of section 12 of the Regulations by 30 th April, In this connection, it is stated that your Dental Institution has not yet furnished the requisite feedback as per the time schedule prescribed in the above DCI Regulations, therefore, I am again directed to request you to furnish the requisite information as asked in DCI circular dated and , within 7 days from the issue of this letter, failing which, the DCI shall have no option but to take action as per section 11.4 of the DCI Regulations on curbing the Menace of Ragging in Dental College, The relevant extract of section 11.4 is reproduced below for your information and ready reference: 11.4 At the DCllevel: if an institution fails to curb ragging, the Dental Council of India shall impose anyone or any combination of the following penalties on it: To initiate the derecognition process against the institution under section 16A of the Dentists Act To reduce the admission capacity of the institution to the extent to which the Council deem fit To stop further admission in the institution till further orders To stop renewal of permission in respect of UGIPG Dental Courses To post the information regarding penalties so imposed on the concerned institution on the website of DCI for information of all concerned. 3. Further, I am directed to say that in case any dental institutions could not get the aforesaid DCI's Regulations and above DCI's circular No. DE-16? -2015/941 dated and circular dated on curbing the menace of Ragging in Dental Colleges, the same may be downloaded from the DCl's website i.e. and furnish the complete details as per annexure /I of section 12 of the said Regulations immediately.
