Height adjustment of the assistant s module arm allows optimal positioning of the module itself and the instruments available to the assistant. Simple yet extremely practical solutions. The cuspidor bowl has been designed to optimise external dimensions without compromising on interior capacity. A housing in the unit body allows the cuspidor bowl to be stowed in its home position, increasing the effective amount of workspace. Both cuspidor bowl movement and the rinse programme are activated via the foot control or instrument panel, chair and bowl moving simultaneously to reach the correct position. Temporary interruption of suction is achieved simply by exerting pressure on the base of the patient chair during treatment. Whatever the working position adopted by the dentist, smooth manoeuvrability of all instruments/devices and a specially shaped patient chair aid fluidity of movement and an unhindered approach to the operating zone. A new ergonomic stool - the S9, suitable for people of different builds - also provides a considerable boost to wellbeing. An extensive adjustment range for seat height, seat tilt, vertical-horizontal positioning and lumbar support tilt ensures an optimal set-up that significantly reduces the negative effects of poor postural habits. 7 9: COMFORT AND OPERATING LOGIC Creating all the right functions and developing devices that synergically aid the dentist makes for a more natural workflow. Constant, maximised efficiency also becomes possible when operating light and foot control functions respond exactly to the dentist s needs as treatment is carried out. The optional wireless foot control allows the dentist to place the control unit where it is most convenient. Lithium ion batteries provide a long-lasting charge. Nevertheless, a mains lead connection point is available at the rear of the unit where the battery charger connector is also located An operating light that correctly illuminates the treatment zone significantly reduces eye fatigue. Moreover, the new dual-reflector LED operating light has a temperature (5,000 K) that provides true-to-life colour representation. 10 Surgical function AND CONTROL DURING TREATMENT 9:SAFETY Configuring the Classe A9 with high performance instruments, multimedia devices, and a hygiene system would be meaningless without the perfectly integrated software that allows the dentist to control all the parameters and display a wealth of data. Compact and light, the i-mms induction micromotor is one of the most silent instruments in its category. Featuring an exceptional torque of up to 4.5 Ncm, it also provides a wide speed range of ,000 rpm. With incorporated LED lighting, fully autoclaveable and suitable for any dentistry specialisation, from conservative dentistry to oral surgery, the i-mms provides perfect control via 3 different software modes, adjustable on the TFT display. Incorporated on the dentist s module, the peristaltic pump option is instantly available for oral surgery and implantation operations with use of the i-mms induction micromotor. While dentist and patient both need to rely on total safety, it should not come at the cost of distracting the medical personnel: their focus must be on actual treatment. Each active hygiene device works according to user-established criteria to ensure high levels of safety. Intrinsic to the design, the passive hygiene concept minimises any risk of contamination. Anthos provides a hygiene system that complies with European directives. Compliance with EN 1717, which indicates proper protection against backflow contamination by the water used on the dental unit, is DVGW-certified. The optional WHE device ensures compliance with the standard.

12 9:ENSURING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT Anthos provides a complete array of active devices to make the dental surgery safe at all times. From use of the peristaltic pump with saline solution for oral surgery to the efficient BIOSTER internal tubing sanitisation unit, the hygiene system is comprehensive and all-encompassing. The key goals of the Anthos-developed passive hygiene concept are minimising cross-contamination risk and facilitating asepsis in the dental surgery. The use of removable parts allows in-depth hygienisation. Using materials suitable for disinfection or sterilisation also makes a vital contribution to dental unit hygiene. Moreover, the accessibility of the systems makes cleaning tasks easier. A high-flow double filter with automatic and independent cannula selection provides greater single cannula suction efficiency.

ANTI-RETRACTION DEVICE Automatic system that ensures permanent disinfection of the spray and cup fill circuits via the addition of H 2 O 2, exerting a bacteriostatic effect. The system has an EN1717- compliant Type A inlet air gap separation device to prevent contamination of mains water. BIOSTER, an automatic device that disinfects the water and spray circuits using a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, ensures thorough sanitisation at the end of the treatment session before the next patient s arrival. Contact time can be set from 5 to 30 minutes. The FLUSHING device, which is incorporated in the BIOSTER system or can be purchased separately, provides fast, effective rinsing of tubing via a water flow that can be set to last from 1 to 5 minutes. The peristaltic pump allows utilisation of sterile irrigating liquids during oral surgery or implant operations. The independent feed tank can hold 1.7 litres and is incorporated on the unit body. The automatic suction system flushing-sanitising device carries out rapid flush and subsequent disinfection cycles on the suction system interior. The O.D.R. anti-retraction device on dynamic instruments blocks any fluid return and thus prevents backflow contamination of spray water circuits.
