3 Light operation of instruments The exceptional design of the delivery arm ensures light, precise and well-balanced movements to maximise working comfort. The OP-delivery arm features a needle bearing mounting and a stable lock-free height adjustment for effortless operation. The instrument hoses are coated with silicon, making the instruments light and pleasant to work with. The perfectly balanced instrument arms are flexible forward and sideways to assure sufficient reach. Each instrument hose can also be operated independently of the corresponding instrument arm. seamless teamwork, efficient workflow Seamless four-hand teamwork The over-the-patient delivery with balanced instrument arms is ideal for efficient four-hand treatment. The assistant has access to the unit control panel and can also prepare instruments and handpieces conveniently during treatment. With dual handles on both sides, the console is easy to position. Small instrument console The very small instrument console and the low-profile instrument arms do not interfere with patient comfort, even when the console is being positioned near the oral cavity. Moreover, the instruments are always easy to access, and the team can maintain ergonomic working postures throughout the working day. Compact space for solo user The unit gives great flexibility in positioning the console and tray table. This assures optimal access to instruments also when the dentist is working alone. 4 patient chair for user and patient comfort Automatic fold-down legrest Optionally, the chair can be equipped with an optional automatic fold-down legrest. The fold-down legrest movements are synchronised with those of the backrest. These synchronised movements enhance patient entrance and exit, and facilitate closer face-to-face positioning. Armrests The chair can also be equipped with optional armrests. They provide firm support that enhance patient entrance and exit. The right-hand armrest is movable to further enhance easy patient access. Especially elderly patients have often been very happy with the armrests and the fold-down legrest. The armrests are upholstered with the same high-quality material as the patient chair. The surgical IV-armrest, intended for immobilizing the patient's arm, is a more specific armrest option. Child cushion set Superior legroom for the users The major design challenge of Planmeca Compact i consisted of combining good working ergonomics with patient comfort. This challenge is ingeniously solved with the ultra-thin and anatomically correct backrest of the patient chair. As regards working ergonomics, the absence of the chair base gives exceptional legroom and allows easy-to-maintain clear floor surface. As for patient comfort, the chair provides wide and stable support for the back, as well as compensating backrest movements. Adjustable or motorized headrest The double articulated adjustable headrest allows effortless and comfortable head positioning and provides clear visibility into the oral cavity. The maxillary and mandibular positions are easily found, and the adjustment range is sufficient for tall as well as for paediatric patients. Alternatively, you can now choose a motorized headrest with movements in three dimensions. This new headrest option provides fully motorized head positioning, and its practical and hygienic control is ensured via an intuitive joystick. The multifunctional child cushion set allows comfortable positioning of small patients. It can also be used under a tall person's legs to give extra support. 6 7

5 always clean water for treatment Automated waterline cleaning Periodical treatment with Planmeca Waterline Cleaning System (WCS) efficiently removes microbial biofilm from the dental unit waterlines (DUWL). The WCS routine procedure assures low bacterial CFU counts in the internal waterlines. The automated, computer controlled procedure also assures that there are no residuals of chemicals in treatment water. That is to say, Planmeca WCS leaves treatment water ph, smell, taste and chemical composition unaltered. Planosil cleaning agent The Planmeca WCS uses Planosil, which is a highly effective solution for killing microbes and removing biofilm from dental unit waterlines. The anti-microbial effectiveness has been scientifically proven on gram positive and gram negative bacteria, viruses, spore-forming organisms, yeast, mould and amoeba. The readyto-use solution is delivered in containers with a convenient tap for easy filling. Active safety - the patented TASB Planmeca's patented TASB* system provides an anticontamination barrier for high-speed outlets. This barrier prevents any aspiration of aerosols into the turbine and the tubing, efficiently protecting the patients from cross-contamination. Planmeca TASB has been a standard feature of all Planmeca dental units for over 15 years. *TASB - Turbine Anti Suck-Back The WMS meets the emerging regulations The Planmeca Water Management System (WMS) fulfills the strictest regulations concerning safe dental unit water management. The system fully isolates the unit internal waterlines from the public water system. Equipped with the WMS, a Planmeca Compact series unit complies with the European Standard on Inlet Water Isolation (EN1717). The WMS also has the German DVGW approval. In addition, the WMS includes the Waterline Cleaning System for removal of microbial biofilm (see previous page). The WMS container can also be used as a clean water reservoir. The armrests, which are optional, are supplied in the same stylish upholstery colour and material. You may choose the child cushion set in the same colour, but you may quite as well like to select another matching colour for it. Please refer to the 'Compact Upholstery in Prostyle' colour palette for choice of standard upholstery colour. Modern glass bowl If the unit is equipped with a glass bowl, you can choose between two alternatives: a bright bowl in Planmeca blue or an opaque sandblasted bowl in white. If you prefer a unit without a bowl, a hygienic and stylish white plastic cover will put the finishing touch on the cuspidor side Ultra Upholstery Compact Upholstery in Prostyle colours Ultra upholstery - unprecedented comfort Alternatively, the chair upholstery can be of the Ultra type. This viscoelastic upholstery adapts perfectly to follow the patient s anatomy, because it is filled with special foam that takes the patient's body shape. After the treatment, the foam will restore its original shape. The Ultra upholstery provides extra comfort, appreciated especially in long treatment sessions. Metallic colours The Ultra upholstery is now also available in a new metallic upholstery fabric. 8 alternative choice for instrument console Hanging tube instruments Planmeca Compact i can alternatively be equipped with a hanging tube instrument console mounted on the over-the-patient delivery arm. Ergonomically designed, the console brings the instruments at the correct height for easy reach and allows optimal access to the tray. The user's arm does not infere with the instruments. The angle of the instrument holders can be adjusted, so the users can freely adjust each instrument within their own optimal access. The hanging tube instrument console can be equipped with up to five instruments. Except the syringe, there are four universal Plug&Perform instrument positions that can adapt any instrument from the Planmeca range. You can also add an optional 6th instrument position for Planmeca Intracam. Integrated tray table The hanging tube instrument console can be equipped with a large and solid integrated tray table. The tray is ergonomically positioned, and the dentist as well as the assistant have easy access to it. Thanks to the highly practical integrated handle, the tray is easy to maneuvre. If you prefer another tray position, you can choose a top tray placed on the instrument console. Assistant's instruments Several alternative suction arms are available, all featuring long reach and easy positioning in the working area. The chair-mounted suction arm travels with the up/down movement of the patient chair, whereas the height of the adjustable suction arm is individually set according to the assistant's needs. The optional assistant's control panel includes all the versatile controls of the unit, enabling practical and flexible teamwork. The assistant's side can be equipped with two or three suction hoses and optional assistant's instruments (syringe and LED polymerization light).
