52 FlowArt Needle-Free Valve User s Guide 1 Prepare FlowArt needle-free valve 2 Connect the syringe or infusion set to the valve Prior to every access, swab the surface of FlowArt valve with a proper antiseptic wipe 1-2 seconds and allow to dry approximately 30 seconds. Insert the syringe or the infusion set into the valve with a 90 clockwise motion. 3 Close the Clamp 4 Remove the syringe from valve To hinder any reflux in the catheter, apply clamp before disconnecting syringe. Remove the luer from the valve by turning counter clockwise.
