1 September 23, 2017 Subject: Hurricane Maria Update Dear Valued Baxter Customer, We re writing to provide an update regarding the impact to our facilities from Hurricane Maria. Baxter is doing everything possible to minimize any disruption of service to your facility and to ensure a consistent supply of product for the patients you serve. Shipments to the US were maximized prior to Hurricane Maria. Damage from Hurricane Maria to Baxter s manufacturing and distribution facilities is being assessed. Production and distribution will resume as soon as possible. Baxter will maximize distribution by air shipping to speed recovery. To help sustain the supply of existing inventory from the Caribbean region, Baxter is placing the products, listed on the following pages, on a protective allocation effective immediately. Customers will be allocated at 100% of their average monthly purchases directly from Baxter during the March thru August 2017 period. The allocation will be made available in four equal weekly amounts. Until our inventory assessments are completed, we will not be able to approve any requests for increase, exception or new allocation. We regret this disruption to your daily operations and appreciate your patience as we reestablish our supply pipeline.
