The 4R s Natural Bunion Treatment The 4 R System to Pain Relief and Permanent Change is the method that I have used for years with my patients and clients. On average, not only do I achieve an 80% reduction in pain in 1 visit, I work to restore proper alignment in their bodies. What I find most exciting is that when I follow up with them, whether its 6 months or 6 years after the treatment, their bodies continue to improve over time. I also have personal experience with this system as I incorporated it into my own Rehabilitation. I know it works. At age 25 I was active in sports but unable to squat to the floor without holding on due to 4 sprained ankles and a 10 year history of back pain from a gymnastics injury. As a result of changing my body using this system, today at 46 years old, I am able to squat to the floor without holding on and experience no back pain. It is empowering to now be able to do something physically that I could not do 20 years ago. The bonus is that my body feels better doing it. My goal is that other people will experience the same and that is why I developed The Bunion Solution Program. It is the only program out there which incorporates the 4R s to addressing Bunions. Page 1 Introduction
The Current Options for addressing Bunions consist of the following: Surgery: Only addresses Repositioning. Bunion Braces: Only addresses Repositioning of the Big Toe. Orthotics: Only addresses Repositioning of the foot. Massage: Only addresses Release of the Big Toe. Taping: Only addresses Repositioning of the Big Toe. Exercise: Only addresses Re-Education of the Big Toe. Steroid injections or Oral Anti-inflammatory: Only addresses Reduction of Inflammation. As you recall in my video a Bunion is not even a problem of the Big Toe, It This is why none of these treatments are great options, not only are they incomplete and not addressing the cause of a Bunion they can be; painful, costly, time consuming, inconvenient, and fail. Surgery can have lasting negative side effects, and puts you at a risk of for blood clot and infection. I learned at a very young age what it feels like when something that may not be life threatening occurs in your body that you have no control over and can be embarrassing. I also learned that western medicine is not always the solution to health problems. When I was 14 years old, I had warts that infested both of my hands and were beginning to spread to other parts of my body. I had warts on 7 of my fingers, 1 on my hand, 1 on my wrist and 1 on my knee. I was taken to a dermatologist who didn t focus on the why or how these warts infested my body, only on how to get rid of them. On numerous visits he tried: burning them off with liquid nitrogen that required painful Novocain injections into my fingers, Spanish Fly to blister them off, and surgically cutting them out. Over 5 visits, doing this variety of agonizing treatments, he managed to get rid of 2 of the 10 warts. My Mom couldn t bear to watch me go through this needless torture without results any longer. Page 2 Introduction
Thankfully, my aunt was being treated by a holistic chiropractor who was willing to take on my case. He changed my diet, did minimal chiropractic adjustment and used a low level laser on all 10 warts. While I did have to sacrifice things like soda and candy, this pain free program rid my body of the virus and the warts in 3 months. They have never returned. I learned the following lessons: The body wants to heal and it will show you how. It is your job to carefully observe and listen to it. There is no such thing as idiopathic (a disease process that just happens). A client of mine shared with me his definition of idiopathic. Your doctor is an idiot and you are pathetic. Seriously, things happen in our body as a result of something or more commonly a combination of factors. When you address those specific factors you can and will heal the problem. The answer to your problem is out there and do not waste a lot of your time and money on someone or something that is not helping you. My personal limit is 2-4 visits or $200. Diet is medicine. It can be good medicine used to treat disease or bad medicine causing it; Type 2 Diabetes, Hypertension, and Heart Disease are all examples of this. This experienced changed my life and continues to shape my career. As a health care professional, I practice the following with every client: I evaluate a client through targeted communication, careful observation and palpation. This allows me to determine where and how their body needs to be treated. The Bunion Solution teaches one how to do this as well. I figure out through my evaluation and study of the scientific literature, why that person is having the problems that they are having. I will explain to you why you have developed a bunion in the next section. If I am not helping them, I don t waste my client s time or money. I make suggestions on other modalities, including surgery, that I believe may be helpful to them and encourage my client to investigate them. This is why The Bunion Solution offers you a money back guarantee. While my expertise is not nutrition, I make suggestions to my clients to research the foods that they are eating and how those foods may be affecting them. Bunions are a bursitis (inflammation of the bursae of the hallux) and they may have an arthritic component, particularly if they are painful. Both of these will be aided by adopting an anti-inflammatory diet. Page 3 Introduction
As a result of using these above principles, I have a 98% success rate with my clients I know what a bunion looks like, but what is it? Before I share with you how to resolve a bunion, many people want to know what exactly bunions are and why they form. Bunions are an inflammation of the bursal sac (bursitis) on the side of the big toe joint (metatarsal phalangeal). If left untreated the condition will worsen and the joint becomes arthritic. How does the big toe joint become misaligned? According to Dr. Rene Cailliet, MD in his book Foot and Ankle Pain there are 3 factors that cause this misalignment: 1. There is an abnormal rotation of the foot bone located near the arch of the foot. This causes the big toe bone (1 st metatarsal) to move away from the rest of the foot. This deviation of the 1 st metatarsal is a hallmark of bunions. 2. Tightness and shortening of a muscle, that connects to the big toe. This muscle is orientated in such a way that when it is shortened it causes movement of the big toe toward the second toe. 3. The shape of the end of the big toe bone, the 1st metatarsal, is excessively rounded. When a joint has a bone that is too rounded it is likely to move more freely and will be influenced by the connective tissue to deviate away from its proper orientation. (If you have an x-ray of your foot you should be able to see if you have either #1 or #3. Reason #2 will not show up on x-ray. ) Page 4 Introduction
Look at the two examples, the left shows the ideal alignment of the medial cuneiform, (highlighted in blue). The x-ray on the right is an example of an oblique deviation of the medial cuneiform. The top of this bone should be squared where it connects to the adjoining bone The first two causes we can change by addressing the connective tissues both directly and indirectly to restore alignment. While we cannot change the shape of a bone, cause #3, we can change the forces that act upon that bone, so indirectly we can make a change. How do we make this change? The 4 R s of Musculoskeletal Health Reduce Inflammation Release Reposition Re-educate 1. Reduction of Inflammation: Bunions are an inflammation of the bursae (fluid sac) on the big toe joint. The literature states that for every cubic centimeter of inflammation a muscle shuts down by 1 %. Our muscles help stabilize our joints. Inflammation hinders mobility because it not only physically precludes motion; it also makes a joint less stable. That is why people with arthritis lack flexibility. To treat inflammation I will suggest adopting an antiinflammatory diet and or choosing a topical agent to decrease the inflammation at the bunion. We will also incorporate decreasing inflammation via taping. Page 5 Introduction
2. Release: In order to treat any structure of the human body you need to make sure that there is freedom of movement (aka flexibility), if there is not, you must release. Connective tissue is present throughout your entire body, it has multiple functions and is responsible for the form of our body. In fact, if you remove a skeleton from a body it will not lose its shape because the properties of connective tissue. These tissues should move freely, however, sometimes these tissues can become restricted or adhered. This could be caused by a number of factors including trauma and poor alignment. One of the components of connective tissue is elastin. Elastin is malleable and therefore we can make changes in the tissue using Release Techniques. The most effective way to restore movement of connective tissue is via direct Release. Stretching is not effective, not specific, and does not improve flexibility or freedom of movement on all connective tissues. In this program you will be using The Comprehensive Core Release (CCR) Technique that I developed. It is the safest, fastest, most efficient release technique that I know of and I will be teaching you how to do this on yourself in the program. As a bonus once you have learned this technique you can perform it on any part of your body. The Comprehensive Core Release Technique provides: Release of all types of connective tissue in the body Release in as little as 10 seconds Stability to the system which will undo the negative effects of inflammation. Improved flexibility. Most importantly it allows you to be in control of the release. After many years of working with clients, learning from gurus, and achieving moderate success in my practice, I discovered the CCR Technique by accident when the other Release techniques that I had been taught did not work on a couple of clients. After some sleepless nights pondering this problem, I remembered the words of my Page 6 Introduction
professor in school who stated, You need to have Stability in Order to have Mobility. I realized that none of the techniques that I had been taught incorporated stability. By providing stability to the system I found that the connective tissue Released more quickly and easily. I have successfully used this method ever since. 3. Reposition: Once you have achieved freedom of movement you need to put the structure in its proper alignment, this is repositioning. Alignment dictates function. Think about how a car drives with low air in 1 tire or how a door opens with a hinge broken. When the alignment is off, the system will not work properly. A known principle of exercise called the Length Tension Raito supports this. It states that a muscle will contract with greatest vigor when it is at a particular length. The muscle attaches to the bones of our skeleton and if that alignment is off, according to the Length Tension Ratio, the muscle will not contract with greatest strength. The importance of proper alignment in our body, I feel, is grossly underestimated in the health care community. To illustrate this try the following exercise: Sit in your chair using good posture and swallow apiece of imaginary food. Now sit with a slouched posture and forward head, like many of our seniors, and try to swallow a piece of imaginary food. Did you notice a difference in the ease of swallowing? Based on this principle of the Length Tension ratio, when you have a bunion you will not be able to; balance, walk, or perform any standing activity with optimal performance. This can lead to pathology, injury and falling. Page 7 Introduction
This is why it is vital to correct your alignment as best possible. Additionally, the ultimate way to ensure lasting results will be to restore alignment. For the Repositioning portion of this program, we will be using kinesiotape. If you are not aware of kinesiotape it is the same technology that is used by professional and Olympic athletes. The reason that I chose to use this tape is that when it is applied in a particular manner, it can address Release, Re-Education and Reduction of Inflammation as well. 4. Re-Education: Only when you have addressed the forces acting on the bunion and create freedom of movement through Release, Repositioning of the foot to facilitate proper alignment and stability, can you now teach that structure how to stay in that proper alignment. This is called Re-Education. When performing Re-Education on a body part there is a term called Specificity of Training which means that if you want the body to be better at doing something, do that thing. For example the best way to get better at swimming is to swim. The primary function of the foot for the majority of us is walking; therefore the Re- Education component of this program will consist of walking and a few exercises that mimic the components of walking. Current bunion treatments of bracing and surgery address Repositioning only. They do this without regard to Release and never change the forces acting on the bunion that caused them to form in the first place. This is why I believe 5% of Bunion surgeries fail and why you will need to use a brace forever to manage your bunion. If you do opt to for surgery or a brace after using The Bunion Solution Program this program; I guarantee that you will heal faster, have a greater success, and experience fewer side effects as a result of having done this comprehensive program. Page 8 Introduction
So I hope that you take this opportunity and give The Bunion Solution a try risk free for $47. For less than the price of 1 medical copay or massage you will actually have the opportunity to address the cause of your Bunion. Click here to learn more and see what you can achieve. Page 9 Introduction
You might say, I am not a massage therapist how am I going to be able to do this. I have taught thousands of people, both trained in healthcare and laypersons how to use these techniques. If you can see your feet, feel your feet, take measurements, and move your body, you have the skills necessary to do this program. I said this earlier, you are the expert of your body and it will be easier for me to teach you how to do the techniques on yourself than teaching professionals to do the techniques on their clients. You will need to commit to practice what I teach you, some of you will need to review the material multiple times and others may need to ask questions. It gets easier over You might say This sounds overwhelming. That is why I have done the following: Provided you with comprehensive video instruction. Progress through the program very slowly. Given you less than 5 skills to master. Provided you with direct access to me for 4 months via posts on our membership page. You might say I don t have the time. This is why I am asking for only 8 minutes a day. If you prefer, break it into 2, 4 minute sessions, or 4, 2 minute sessions. The construction of the timing is not as important as getting the work done. The techniques can be done anywhere that you have access to your feet. There are exercise included that I suggest do while driving or on the toilet. A big bonus is that regular walking reinforces the work that we do. Trust me when I tell you that the information that I am providing you will give you every opportunity for success. To give it a try click here. Page 10 Introduction
Follow the suggestions in this book and I guarantee that if you commit 8 minutes a day, you will stop your bunion s progression and notice a change in the look and feel of your feet in 8 weeks or less. You can and will put an end to painful and embarrassing bunions if you use these proven non-surgical techniques that will restore the correct structure of your feet. The best news is that once you have changed the forces acting on your feet you will continue to see and feel improvement over time. Page 11 Introduction
