GENERAL DISNEY FIT CHALLENGE INFORMATION Competitive fitness comes to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World during Disney Fit Challenge. For the first time, you will be able to test your fitness against peers of the same or similar ages and skill levels by completing a variety of movements and workouts. With multiple, professional- quality facilities as your backdrop, you can put forward your best effort and measure it against the rest. Divisions have been established allowing for a wide range of physical ability and skill in addition to age groups allowing competitors to see how they place not only within a division but also within their respective age group. Disney Fit Challenge has several divisions including Recreation, Scaled, Rx, Elite, Master, Teams and Team - Master. Athletes are competing against their entire field in their division to qualify for the final challenge on Sunday. General Rules and Information Only competing athletes, judges and Disney Fit Challenge staff are allowed on challenge field/floor. No photographers on challenge field/floor. They may take pictures for personal use only from spectator area(s). Only competing athletes that are warming- up will be allowed in the challenge warm- up areas. No coaches allowed. Once your challenge is completed you will be asked to return to the Athlete Village area. Athletes will be responsible to warm- up before each of their challenges. Athlete briefing tents will be located at each challenge site. (Athletes are responsible, and required, to report to the designated athlete briefing tent 15 minutes prior to their heat) An athlete Information table will be available to answer any and all questions. The athlete Information table will be located in the Vendor area as well as inside HP Field House. This service is to provide the athletes with general information regarding workouts, timeline, scoring, directions, etc. 5

ATHLETE NUMBER The following pertains to Saturday only. On Sunday, athletes will check the Heat link to follow their heat assignments. Each athlete will be assigned a wristband with an athlete number. Once an athlete has received this number through the check- in process they must be sure to have that number written on their arm by Disney Fit Challenge staff located near challenge warm- up areas. You may also report to the Athlete Information table to have your number written on your arm. Your number represents three important identifications: The first digit represents your division. The second digit represents your heat. The last two digits represent your workout station. For example: Athlete #2405 = Male amateur division, fourth heat, station five. 8

SCORING All divisions are scored based upon how an athlete finishes compared to the rest of the field in their division. Before elimination, all athletes will be competing in five challenges, generating five scores. Once each challenge is completed each athlete will have a recorded time and that time will be compared to the rest of the athletes in their division. Athletes will be placed in order of points from lowest to highest. An athlete s placement in a challenge translates to the same number of points. If an athlete finishes in 5 th place in a challenge they will receive 5 points. The overall score is determined by adding up all five challenges. Athletes with the least amount of points place higher on the leaderboard. In the challenge of an overall tie the tiebreaker will be determined by combined the final score of Challenge #1 and Challenge #5. The following number of spots will qualify for Sunday s final challenge. It is the athlete s responsibility to check the scoring link to confirm qualification. Female Recreation: 24 Male Recreation: 24 Female Scaled: 96 Male Scaled: 96 Female Masters: 12 Male Masters: 24 Female Rx: 36 Male Rx: 36 Female Elite: 12 Male Elite: 12 Female Team: 24 Male Team: 24 Female Masters Team: 12 Male Masters Team: 12 9

SCORE / JUDGE DISPUTES We take pride in upholding standards and scoring preparation. However, we understand that issues might arise. Our ultimate goal is to provide each athlete a fair and accurate score. Immediately following the completion of your challenge your judge will ask you to sign the scorecard. By signing the scorecard you are agreeing to the written score. If you have a dispute with your score please adhere to the following protocol: Do not sign scorecard. Immediately tell your judge that you disagree with the score written on the scorecard. Ask to see the head- judge assigned to your division. File a formal, verbal dispute with the head- judge. If the matter is easily adjustable the head judge will make the correction immediately. If the issue needs further investigation the head judge will pass the dispute up the chain- of- command to the Athlete Director. The Athlete Director will work with the athlete and the scoring athlete to resolve the problem. Please follow the above steps and do not break the said chain- of- command. If the scoring issue happens when your score gets posted. Please see the Athlete Information table for assistance. Disputes must be addressed within 30 minutes of posted score. We ask that you respect your judges at all times. Disney Fit Challenge staff will handle any inappropriate conduct from an athlete accordingly and the athlete may be subject to elimination from the competition. Please treat judges, staff and other athletes with respect and professionalism. 13

WEATHER PROTOCOL Due to its unpredicted nature, the weather plays an instrumental role in all outdoor activities. The weather will be closely monitored and attendees will be notified immediately should a determination be made that it is unsafe to occupy the outdoor fields. During the notification phase, attendees will be given directions for evacuation and shelter. In the event of severe weather conditions including, but not limited to, lightning, the challenges will be temporarily postponed. Activities will resume when the all- clear announcement has been sounded at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. If the delay last longer than two hours, the remaining challenges will be cancelled. Athletes will only be scored on all challenges completed by their entire division. 14
