Magnesium carbonate apollo Magnesium carbonate apollo Magnesium carbonate CAS Number : Molecular Formula : MgCO3 Molecular Weight : g/mol Systematic (IUPAC) : Magnesite,Barringtonite (dihydrate),nesequehonite (trihydrate),lansfordite (pentahydrate) Uses Of Magnesium Corbonate
Magnesium Carbonate is white, testless, odourless, amorphous, fine powder and it has been useful in too many applications as given below: It is generally used in Rubber & plastic industries as a filler and to make rubber Light and improves tensile strength. It is used in Pan-Masala & Gutkha preparation due to soothing action in throat and to make Gutkha powder homogeneous with tobacco, katha, supari.it is basically antacid & laxative. So tobacco user can not suffer from acidity, constipation and Magnesium defficiency in blood.it is also useful for prevention of brittleness of teeth & bone. It is used in paper Industries to make paper more white, shiny & smooth. It is used in Ink Industries. It is used in cosmetic Industries especially in talcum powder, face powder, body powder, etc. It is used in preparing soft drinks especially effervescent lemon, ginger etc. Due to its marked absorptive powder it is incorporated in special soaps. As an anticaking agent in free flow table salts. It is extensively used as hot & cold insulation material. It is also used in fertilizer industries. In pharmaceutical industries it is used as an antacid and laxative, and as a binding agent and filler for tablet preparations. Magnesium Carbonate MgCo3 is starting material for manufacturing Magnesium Oxide, MgO. Magnesium Carbonate refractory grade is used in Kiln Bricks. Magnesium Carbonate food grade is used in confectionary & bubble gum as an antisticking agent.
Magnesium Carbonate Light Basic extensively use for surgical glows, condoms and other Latex Rubber products. It is also used in ceramic industries, kitchen wares & crockeries. It is used in different filtration techniques & various filtration beds. Dietary Uses Because of its alkaline nature, magnesium carbonate can be consumed as an antacid by people who have problems with indigestion and heartburn. In large doses, magnesium carbonate goes from antacid to laxative and can therefore be used to combat constipation as well. In animal medicine, magnesium sulfate has been used to successfully treat a variety of gastrointestinal disorders. In his 1954 paper published in the Canadian Journal of Comparative Medicine and Veterinary Science, Dr. G.W. Henderson describes his use of magnesium carbonate in the treatment of calves. These calves suffered from everything from the scours--neonatal diarrhea common in newborn bovines--to fevers and constipation. In each case, Dr. Henderson fed the calves food supplemented with magnesium carbonate, which resulted in the alleviation of their symptoms. Side Effects Stomach upset and diarrhea may occur. Taking this product with a meal helps to reduce these effects. If either of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. If your doctor has directed you to use this medication, remember that he or she has judged that the benefit to
you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing. This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. Precautions Before taking a magnesium supplement, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. If you have the following health problem, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product: kidney disease. Liquids, powders, or some other forms of this product may contain sugar and/or aspartame. Liquid products may also contain alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence, liver disease, phenylketonuria (PKU), or any other condition that requires you to limit/avoid these substances in your diet. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about using this product safely. During pregnancy, this product should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known whether this product passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Interactions If you are taking this product under your doctor's direction, your doctor or pharmacist may already be aware of possible drug interactions and may be monitoring you for them. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with your doctor or pharmacist first. Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription/herbal products you may use, especially of: amphetamines, cellulose sodium phosphate, digoxin, sodium polystyrene sulfonate. Magnesium can bind with certain medications, preventing their full absorption. If you are taking a tetracycline-type medication (such as demeclocycline, doxycycline, minocycline, tetracycline), separate the time of the dose from the time of the magnesium supplement dose by at least 2 to 3 hours. If you are taking a bisphosphonate (for example, alendronate), a thyroid medication (for example, levothyroxine), or a quinolone-type antibiotic (e.g., ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin), ask your doctor or pharmacist about how long you should wait between doses and for help finding a dosing schedule that will work with all your medications. Check the labels on all your prescription and nonprescription/herbal products (e.g., antacids, laxatives, vitamins) because they may contain magnesium. Ask your pharmacist about using those products safely. This document does not contain all possible interactions. Therefore, before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all the products you use.
Keep a list of all your medications with you, and share the list with your doctor and pharmacist. Notes Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments. If your doctor has directed you to take this medication, laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., magnesium blood levels, kidney function tests) should be performed periodically to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Consult your doctor for more details. Magnesium supplements are available in different forms with different amounts of magnesium. Many are available without a prescription. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for help in selecting the best product for you. Eat a well-balanced diet. Foods high in magnesium include avocados, bananas, beans, whole grain cereals, green vegetables, and nuts. Missed Dose If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up. Storage Store at room temperature away from light and moisture. Refer to the product package for details. Do not store in the bathroom. If you have any questions about storage, ask your pharmacist. Keep all drug products away from children and pets. Do not flush medications down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed to do so. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed.
