Worked with local government and community providers to enact policy and develop programming. Worked on a variety of national policy issues in addiction with SAMHSA, BJA and others including model programming for criminal justice clients, women s treatment, and prevention of and access to treatment for prescription opiate abuse. Managed state grant funding, federal block grant and Medicaid for substance abuse service system. Executive Director: Crossroads for Women, Portland, ME Crossroads for Women provides residential, IOP, and outpatient treatment, and recovery housing for women. Oversaw a budget of $3 million and 30 staff providing services in two locations. The budget tripled during my tenure and added three programs. Experience with government contracts, grant writing, project development, staff development, and budget management. Program Director: YWCA, Lewiston, ME Director of YWCA Intervention Program which provided a variety of services to adolescents including substance abuse counseling, pregnancy and parenting services, homeless education program, family mediation,

2 and prevention programs. Provided statewide training to guidance counselors and school teachers on developing peer helper programs. Wrote and monitored federal, state and foundation grants. Project Coordinator: YWCA, Lewiston, ME Part-time coordinator of a substance abuse prevention program for high risk adolescents. Recruited and supervised a large group of volunteer parents and provided family counseling and parent education.
