Over the years it has evolved into an advocacy arm of Mothers In Crisis designed to empower and mobilize clients, organizations, and communities. 01/99 07/05 Florida Youth Substance Prevention Initiative Advisory Council Member- Attend Council meetings to help develop the State s Prevention Strategy under the direction of the Governor & the Office of Drug Control. 05/99 12/03 TheTallahassee/Leon County Anti-Drug Anti-Violence Alliance, (ADAVA) Founder- Provide coordination, facilitation and implementation of the anti-drug, anti-violence coalition designed to reduce the supply and demand of illegal drug use, abuse, and distribution as well as violence in our community. ADAVA implemented the Communities That Care initiative Community Neighborhood Renaissance Partnership, (CNRP) Member- CNRP is a neighborhood-planning program staffed by the Tallahassee-Leon County Planning Department in partnership with the Providence Neighborhood Association & Mothers In Crisis, designed to coordinate the renaissance planning process in the Providence neighborhood Tallahassee Equity Action Ministry, (TEAM) Member- TEAM consists of 16 congregations working together to address root causes of our community s problems in order to build a better Tallahassee. The goal of TEAM is to go beyond charity and work towards institutional change & justice. 4
