1 Early Recovery AODA Group - Support Providers: Pam Baranczyk, APSW, CSAC & Noah Adrians, Ph.D. This is an open format group in which Veterans new to recovery from substance addiction can receive support for establishing and maintaining a lasting change in their substance use. Veterans will explore their respective motivation for changing their substance use, potential triggers for future relapse, appropriate coping strategies, and other stressors associated with the early stages of recovery. (No registration required. Walk-ins welcome.) 8:15-9:45am Advanced Coping Skills Group - Support Providers: Victoria Gossens, LCSW, Joni Delwiche, LCSW, & Amy Sklena, LCSW After veterans have attended the 6 basic Coping Skills Classes, they are eligible to participate in this open ended process group which focuses on helping them apply basic coping skills to their personal lives. Must complete all of Coping Skills classes first, then attend on walk-in basis. (No registration required.) (every other) Seeking Strength - Psychoeducational/Treatment Providers: Pam Baranczyk, APSW, CSAC & Noah Adrians, Ph.D. 20-session psychotherapy group for Veterans striving for recovery from past trauma, substance use, or both simultaneously. New members can enter this group every 4 weeks. This group will utilize a manualized, present-focused therapy to assist Veterans in finding greater safety and stability in their relationships, thinking, behavior, and emotions. (Pre-registration is required.) Solution Focused Group - Support Providers: Noah Adrians, Ph.D. This group is for veterans who for a variety of reasons need weekly individual therapeutic sessions but cannot access them. Immediate and long term coping skills will be taught, as well as therapeutic goal setting and problem-solving. The group will emphasize guidance and teaching by the group therapist, with positive and constructive feedback and involvement by group members. (No registration required. Walk-ins welcome.) 1:00-2:00pm (Ending in April)

2 Overcoming Depression - Psychoeducational/Treatment Providers: Katie Rollin, Psy.D. & Noah Adrians, Ph.D. 8-session psychotherapy group that focuses on depression. Veterans will learn how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected, and identify the role depression plays in this. We will not only look at the causes of depression, but also how depressive symptoms are maintained and treated. (Pre-registration is required.) 2:30-4:00pm Dual Recovery Group - Support Facilitators: Pam Baranczyk, APSW & Chad Running, CPS This group is for Veterans who experience chemical dependency and/or mental health issues. It provides a supportive environment to discuss not only your substance abuse issues, but also issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, etc. (No Registration Required. Walk-ins welcome.) 9:00-10:30am Couples PTSD - Psychoeducational/Treatment Providers: Victoria Gossens, LCSW, Katie Rollin, Psy.D., Matt Vendlinski, Ph.D. 10-session group for vets and their partners which provides education about PTSD, secondary PTSD, and effective ways to manage PTSD symptoms and enhance communication skills. They need to have a PTSD diagnosis and be working with a Behavioral Health Provider individually. This group is intended for Veterans who are at least in a moderate level of stability in their PTSD recovery and who are in a longterm relationship of at least 1 year. (Pre-registration is required.) 9:00-10:30am Coping Skills - Psychoeducational Providers: Victoria Gossens, LCSW, Joni Delwiche, LCSW, Amy Sklena, LCSW (on a rotating basis) 7-session educational class focused on developing basic coping skills to understand and manage emotions. Topics to be discussed include an overview of how our mind functions emotionally, distress tolerance, stress management, problem solving, rational thinking, as well as special topics. Vets can come to one or all classes. (No registration required. Walk-ins welcome.) 11:00am- 12:00pm

3 Relapse Prevention - Psychoeducational Providers: Pam Baranczyk, APSW, CSAC & Noah Adrians, Ph.D. 8-session psychotherapy group for Veterans struggling with substance use disorders. Veterans will learn how addictions are developed and maintained, explore and enhance their motivation for changing their substance use, and develop key skills and strategies for making a lasting change. Veterans will also develop a personalized relapse prevention plan. (Pre-registration is required.) Emotion Regulation - Psychoeducational Providers: Katie Rollin, Psy.D. & Matt Vendlinski, Ph.D. 11 session educational group that focuses on learning to manage emotions, control impulses, cope with distress, and improve interpersonal relationships. Implementation of mindfulness activities to improve overall well-being is emphasized. This group is designed for individuals with characteristics of Borderline Personality Disorder and teaches skills from the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) model. (Pre-registration is required.) 1:00-2:30pm 2:30-4:00pm Habits of Happy People - Psychoeducational Providers: Joni Delwiche, LCSW, SAC & Victoria Gossens, LCSW This is a 7 week group that recognizes that our moods are strongly influenced by our emotional habits. Topics to be discussed include the joyful brain, healthy ways to improve mood, the habits of happy people and guidelines for developing positive emotional habits. (Pre-registration is required.) 3:00-4:30

4 Skills for Sober Living - Psychoeducational Providers: Pam Baranczyk, APSW, CSAC & Amy Sklena, LCSW, SAC-IT 12 sessions completed in 6 weeks. Sessions will present information on issues related to sober living including, but not limited to, information on physical symptoms of addiction, building and using support networks, preventing relapse, etc. (No registration is required, Walk-ins welcome on Wednesdays) 8:15-9:45am 8:15-9:45am Starting Our Solutions (SOS) - Support Providers: Noah Adrians, Ph.D. & Amy Sklena, LCSW, SAC-IT This group emphasizes the use of support from fellow Veterans and active problem solving to assist with a wide range of concerns. Veterans are encouraged to utilize this group for accessing additional support on an as needed basis, often in responding to an acute problem or seeking support when their individual treatment provider may be unavailable. Participation in this group may also facilitate access to additional services (as needed). Facilitators will utilize motivational enhancement and cognitive behavioral strategies to help Veterans identify strategies for overcoming a wide range identified concerns. (No registration is required. Walk-ins welcome). 10:00-11:00am (Starting in April) AODA Alumni Support Group (previously called AODA Aftercare) - Support Providers: Joni Delwiche, LCSW, SAC & Amy Sklena, LCSW, SAC-IT An open ended group for veterans who are later in their journey of recovery (or who have already completed the Early Recovery AODA Group). The group provides support to veterans in their path to sobriety or for ongoing support to maintain one's sobriety. (No registration required. Walk-ins welcome.) Anger Management - Psychoeducational/Treatment Providers: Joni Delwiche, LCSW, SAC & Matt Vendlinski, Ph.D. 10-session educational group that is for veterans struggling with out of control anger that has become destructive at some level in their lives. Veterans will learn immediate and long term preventative strategies to bring their anger under control. (Pre-registration is required.) 1:00-2:30pm 3:00-4:30pm

5 Life Markers - Psychoeducational/Treatment Providers: Denver Johnson, Ph.D.& Matt Vendlinski, Ph.D. 16-session cognitive processing group for non-combat related PTSD and related conditions. The goal of the group is to discover the dysfunctional thoughts that drive your life and re-write them. Life Markers utilizes trauma-specific cognitive techniques to help patients move past cognitive stuck points and progress toward recovery. (Pre-registration is required.) Pain Management Psychoeducation/Treatment Providers: Noah Adrians, Ph.D. & Mandy Kumpula Ph.D. COMING SOON! Details to follow. PTSD Symptom Management - Psychoeducational/Treatment Providers: Joni Delwiche, LCSW, SAC & Victoria Gossens, LCSW; Katie Rollin, Psy.D. & Amy Sklena, LCSW, SAC-IT 13-session group focusing on education about PTSD and techniques to manage PTSD symptoms including nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, hyper-vigilance, avoidance, etc. Details of trauma are NEVER discussed. Vets are welcome to join every 4 weeks. They need to have a PTSD diagnosis and be working with a Behavioral Health Provider individually. (Pre-registration is required.) Rethinking Drinking - Psychoeducational Providers: Joni Delwiche, LCSW, SAC; Pam Baranczyk, APSW, CSAC ; Amy Sklena, LCSW, SAC-IT (on a rotating basis) 4-session educational group for any veteran seeking information on alcohol use/misuse, and the progression of the disease of alcohol addiction. Issues addressed include concepts such as how much is too much?, evaluating risk associated with drinking, what is alcoholism?, how alcohol affects the body, and stages of change. (No registration required. Walk-ins Welcome. ) 8:00-9:30am 8:00-9:30am (Starting in April) 3:00-4:00pm

6 Advanced PTSD Symptom Management Group - Support Providers: Joni Delwiche, LCSW, SAC & Victoria Gossens, LCSW; Katie Rollin, Psy.D. & Amy Sklena, LCSW, SAC-IT Veterans are eligible to attend after completion of the PTSD Symptom Management Group. This is an open ended process group that focuses on helping participants apply techniques to manage PTSD symptoms in their personal lives. Details of traumas are NEVER discussed. (Pre-registration is required.) Advanced Couples PTSD Support Providers: Victoria Gossens LCSW, Katie Rollin Psy.D. & Matt Vendlinski Ph.D. Veterans and their partners are eligible to attend after completion of the couples PTSD group. This is an open ended process group that focuses on helping participants apply techniques to manage PTSD symptoms in their lives and enhance communication and problem solving in their relationship with their partner. (Preregistration is required). (every other) 1:00-2:30pm (monthly) Mutual Support through Photography Mutual Support Providers: Chad Running, CPS & John Foss, CPS This is a mutual support group where Veterans can network and exchange coping strategies with other Veterans uniting around a common activity. Group members will be assigned a general theme for each bi-weekly meeting to take five photos according to their interpretation of the theme. Members will share and discuss their photos with the group while honing their photography skills and networking with their peers. The group will not be run by a clinician, rather by two Peer Support Specialists who will only facilitate dialogue and maintain integrity, openness, advocacy and honesty. (No registration required. Walk-ins welcome) 2:00-3:00pm (every other)
