1 Social Action Vice President (SAVP): 1) Is responsible for educating TRSTY members about the social justice/social action theme of the year through events, literature, programs, publicity, fundraising drives, etc. 2) Is responsible for publicizing social action opportunities to TRSTY Members. 3) Is responsible for making TRSTY members aware of social action issues within Reform Judaism. 4) Is responsible for assisting other Board members in the production and dissemination of information pertinent to these projects, events, or ideas. 5) Is responsible for coordinating all events or programs pertaining to the successful completion of NFTY MAR/NFTY Tikkun Olam Award or whichever social action award the Youth Group chooses for that year. 6) Is expected to maintain communication with his/her NFTY-MAR network.

2 Communications Chair: 1) Assist in updating and maintaining all forms of social media for TRSTY. 2) Assist in creating and maintain Facebook events for all TRSTY programs. 3) Assist in taking detailed and universally understood minutes and attendance at all TRSTY meetings. Is responsible for taking attendance at all meetings and events and recording attendance in the minutes. 4) Assist in coordinating swag team designs and presenting designs at meetings for clothes and merchandise designs and making sure merchandise is present at all TRSTY events

3 Membership Grade Representatives (1 per grade): 1) Is responsible for being enrolled in and regularly attending the Temple Rodef Shalom Religious School program (8th - 10th grade teens). 2) Is responsible for regularly attending Post-Confirmation/11 th and 12 th grade N tivot and encouraging teens in their grade to go as well (11 and 12 grade teens). 3) Is responsible for informing their peers about all upcoming TRSTY events. Examples of this can include speeches at the beginning of class and phone calls to class members.

4 Historian Description: The Historian is responsible for recording important moments of TRSTY history. This includes taking pictures, organizing TRSTY artifacts, and adding to our special TRSTY Tome. You are instrumental in telling the TRSTY story. Team: The Historian works with the Communications Vice President, Youth Advisor, and anyone who wants to help with the documentation of TRSTY history. Purpose: The Historian is responsible for preserving the TRSTY story for the next group of TRSTYites. Each group writes their own special story of moments at Temple Rodef Shalom. The purpose of the Historian is to help record it. 5 Attend as many events as able Inventory TRSTY artifacts and record where they are Take photos and videos at events Select photos from events to keep for telling the story Make sure TRSTY seniors make their handprints at the end of the year Work with the Director of Youth Engagement to print photos for the Youth Lounge Organize and keep digital files and print outs Make a scrapbook of the year

6 New Member Coordinator Description: The New Member Coordinator is responsible for making new member gift bags and personally reaching out to new members at TRSTY events. The New Member Coordinator also helps new members learn about TRSTY traditions, chants, and cheers. You are the friendly face of TRSTY that connects new members and old members. Team: The New Member Coordinator works with the Membership Vice President, Junior Youth Group Vice President, the TRSTY Youth Advisor, and with the TRSTY Board. Purpose: The New Member Coordinator is there to smooth the transition of new members into TRSTY and identify temple youth who want to learn more about TRSTY. Qualifications: Likes meeting new people Great at follow-up Gets things done Passion for Youth Group Learn and Develop: Leadership skills How to work in a team Time Management skills Roles & Responsibilities: Attend as many events as possible Meet all the new members that attend TRSTY events Welcome new members to TRSTY and JR. TRSTY events Link the new members to the old members Create a list of TRSTY traditions, chants, and cheers to teach new members

8 TRSTY Birthday Coordinator Description: The TRSTY Birthday Coordinator helps recognize and celebrate our member s birthdays at TRSTY events. The TRSTY Birthday Coordinator keeps a list of birthdays and arranges a quick celebration of the birthdays closest to the TRSTY Event taking place! Team: The TRSTY Birthday Coordinator works with the TRSTY Board, the TRSTY Youth Advisor, and the Membership Vice President. Purpose: The Birthday Coordinator helps make all of our members feel welcome and celebrated. Qualifications: Organized Great at follow-up Gets things done Passion for Youth Group Learn and Develop: Leadership skills How to work in a team Time Management skills Roles & Responsibilities: Create and maintain a membership birthday list Create and maintain a membership birthday calendar Schedule birthday celebrations at TRSTY events

9 Spokesperson Description: The TRSTY Spokesperson tells everyone what TRSTY is doing, when TRSTY is doing it, and where TRSTY is doing it. If you like spreading the word, talking in groups, and making sure everyone is in the know the TRSTY Spokesperson is for you! Team: The TRSTY Spokesperson works with the TRSTY Board, the Communication Vice President, TRSTY Youth Advisor, and Grade Representatives. Purpose: The TRSTY Spokesperson is important because they spread word of mouth hype for TRSTY events to the Temple Community. Qualifications: Likes meeting new people Likes being in the know Gets things done Passion for Youth Group Learn and Develop: Leadership skills Communication skills (Interpersonal) How to work in a team Time Management skills Roles & Responsibilities: Make flyers for hanging around Temple Rodef Shalom and social media Learn and share event details and information Talk about TRSTY with other Temple Rodef Shalom teens Connect people interested in joining with the New Membership Coordinator

10 TRSTY Swag Team Description: The TRSTY Swag team keeps TRSTY looking their best with fresh TRSTY gear. They are also responsible for suggesting, designing, and selling swag at TRSTY events. The TRSTY Swag team also assists in managing TRSTY Swag Give-a-ways and raffles. Team: The TRSTY Swag Team works with the TRSTY Board, the TRSTY Youth Advisor, Communications Vice President, Communications Chair, and the TRSTY President. Purpose: The Swag Team helps brand TRSTY spreading awareness of what we are and helping our membership show off who they work with.
