7 Member Engagement Volunteers are essential to our organizations and have a positive impact on the way we develop and operate. Engagement encourages continued membership. Desired Outcome: Positive retention rates Board and committee sustainability

8 Member Engagement Goal Increase Membership Member Input and Outreach Objective Maintain current membership, and increase individual memberships by 20 new members by end of 2018 by utilizing WEF s new membership recruitment strategy. Enhance communication to members through creation and dissemination of a messaging package dedicated to the member value. Survey membership to collect data relative the value members receive and what they need from the association by end of 2018, data to be used to refocus member engagement strategies. Send a monthly e-newsletter to members to keep them informed on board activities, association initiatives and WEF resources.

9 Member Value Membership value is influenced by the frequency with which our organization provides relevant education, information and opportunities for members to interact with each other. Desired Outcome: Increased education and networking opportunities for members

10 Member Value Goal Objective Provide Networking Opportunities Provide one informal get-together/networking event per province by end of 2018, including YP events and lunch and learns. 12 Member Recruitment Goal Promote Member Categories to Existing & Potential Member Re-establish Association committees Objective New board members familiar with WEF membership categories, understanding of other categories in order develop messaging and opportunities for Board to disseminate information and recruit new members. Development Utility Partnership Program (UPP) value to utilities and communication plan in order to convert four existing utilities to UPP by January Develop communications plan for each of the other targeted categories to include students, professors and YPs, consultants, etc. Develop Technical Committee Develop Membership Committee
