3 Message from the President This year has truly been amazing for Jetti Foundation! We were able to accomplish all our goals, and we even exceeded them. Our success would have not been possible if it were not for the hard work, dedication, and passion of our team, partners, and volunteers. So we thank everyone who has been a part of all our projects from the bottom of our hearts. As we enter a new year, Jetti Foundation equips itself with a stronger hope and determination to facilitate and create more projects that will continue to touch lives, one community at a time! To God be the glory! Dominique Tanchanco 3

32 CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED CHALLENGES/GAPS The 2 administrative staff currently hired is handling 4 partner communities simultaneously. While they can handle the workload there are some gaps to fill in on their output. Constant face to face meeting with community volunteers and leaders are more often compromised Misalignment in the time schedule of the program vis-à-vis the availability of the decision makers, trainers and professionals in the public and private offices needed for the program implementation. INTERVENTION Additional 1 staff to be hired this coming year i.e. 1 for Luzon, 1 for Visayas and 1 for Mindanao depending on the availability of Social Worker in the region. This will be augmented by stipend community volunteers to be hired. Annual planning session with the decision makers, trainers and professionals at the start of the year to firm up the schedule of each program. Misalignment of the actual expenses vs. budget. More often spending is more than anticipated expense budget Detailed project planning to ascertain the expenses needed for each project Difficulty in getting the full commitment of the community leaders and volunteers on the implementation of the programs and services since they are managing other community projects within the year. Joint planning of annual programs and services must be done together with the community leaders and core group members. This will assure ownership and continuity of the programs and services being sponsored. In addition this will help alignment of the programs of the community and that of the foundation. After the program implementation there is little time to do the thorough evaluation of the program in terms of what worked and what did not work. Program planning and evaluation will be carried out this year 2016, January. 32

33 MOVING FORWARD Since there will be a planned increase in services and projects for 2016, additional manpower is required. Hence, additional staff will be hired. One significant structural change this coming year will be formulation of stipend volunteers which is connected to youth scholarship program will be launched. The management is excited to service far flung areas in the province of Cebu with the help prominent NGO in the area. The foundation plans to venture into environmental health and study social entrepreneurship. The foundation is open to the challenges of the times and is willing to learn from experience within and from other NGO s and change accordingly in order to provide better programs and services to its partner communities. 33
