4 Child Protection Information Sharing (CP-IS) Continued drive to ensure Local Authorities and Health organisations come on-line Regular monitoring of progress through NHS England governance committees NHS England regional safeguarding leads monitoring progress within their areas Continued collaboration with NHS Digital to progress project Modern Slavery NHS England publication of commitment statement Development of a awareness video for all NHS staff Procurement of a lead manager to support this agenda for the next 12 months 4
5 Children Safeguarding Network This network continues to be productive supporting to NHS England safeguarding team in: analysis of key publications, providing recommendations and service delivery suggestions and providing insight on frontline child protection work. Adult Safeguarding Network This network will be reinvigorated. Membership is being developed through NNDHP database and support from Dr Green s team. Communication with this forum will begin in January It is anticipated that this network will work in a similar way to the children s network. Named GP network This network for Named GP will work across England and develop and online advisory form. It is anticipated that this network will work similar to the children s network. 5
6 Looked After Children (LAC) and Unwarranted Variation Recruitment of a specialist project manager to lead on the work of unwarranted variation Development of an action plan to review the risks and prioritise actions Working with the DH and other government bodies on a LAC mental health pilot project Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Working closely with Kent and the South Region to support the relocation of UASCs NHS England Regional safeguarding leads are monitoring the concerns regarding any relocation issues in their areas 6
7 Safeguarding Reforms NHS England is developing a senior management group to lead on the reforms on behalf of health Cross government working regarding the review and development of safeguarding post legislative reforms Intercollegiate Guidance for Adult Safeguarding Development of standard approach for training and education for adult safeguarding professionals Endorsement for Royal Collages Publication in February
