The RPA test is included in the French norm as the technique to be used for flocks screening. Manufacturing All our products are manufactured in a GMP (good manufactoring practice) laboratory, certified by the French Pharmaceutical Agency. All our facilities are up to date with the national and european regulations, which include cleanroom and controlled environment and pressure.

3 Instructions for use Check the interval between vaccination with inactivated vaccines and blood sampling for RPA. It must last at least 6 weeks. CAUTION Heat or poor vial shaking can give false positive results.

5 Detection procedure First screening of the flock Rapid Plate Agglutination Validation of the positive results ELISA / PCR Rapid Plate Agglutination tests can detect Mycoplasma before ELISA tests - Clinical trial RC Experimental procedure: A total of nine 11-week-old chickens, free of Mycoplasma, were used. Animals were challenged by intranasal instillation with a strain of Mycoplasma gallisepticum, at D0. The sera of all the chickens were analysed every 2 to 3 days. Agglutination tests were performed by Biovac staff as well as an external COFRAC* laboratory, while ELISA tests were done by this external laboratory. *COFRAC: French Commity for Accreditations. Tests performed by an external laboratory Rapid Plate Agglutination Tests detect IgM whereas ELISA detects IgG, which appear later than IgM. These few days of difference can have important consequences in regularly tested flocks. PCR detects bacteria s DNA and does not give any indication about a disease s immune reaction. If an antibiotic treatment is given to a flock, positive results on sera and negative results with PCR can be found.
