PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE. Internship: Did one-year rotating internship at District Hospital, Jalandhar. During this posting, I worked in various clinical disciplines. The nature of duties was in the form of clinical history taking; examination and laboratory work up of the patient admitted in the wards. Also, I had to attend the outpatients and assist in minor surgeries. Junior Resident: Worked as house- physician in Paediatrics from January to June 1983 at Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital,. This required round the clock management of emergencies along with follow-up of in-patients and attending out-patients and immunization services. From July to Dec., 1983, I worked in department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology as house surgeon. This required total management of the patients admitted in the wards, out- patient attendance, assisting and performing various surgical procedures and labor room duties. Emergencies were also looked after. Post-graduation in Obst. & Gynaecology: I had my two years training in Obst.& Gynecology from January, 1984 to December, 1985 at Medical College,. During this training, the nature of duties was in the form of Total Patient Care. I had the opportunity to attend all type of emergencies in labor room and operate on all type of emergency and elective cases. Medical Officer: I joined as Medical officer (PPP) in Goa Medical College and served in the college from Dec.1986 to May 1993 for a period of six and a half years. Senior Resident: I worked as senior resident in Obst. & gynec in Goa Medical College itself for a period of three years due to my aptitude towards teaching with special inclination to perinatal medicine. Senior residency being a tenure post I completed this residency in May 1996.

3 Senior Obstetrician and Gynecologist: After finishing my residency, I was appointed on the above post in ESI Hospital Margao in July I joined this post as this gave me an opportunity to look into the problems of working women. I had the opportunity to establish full fledged obstetrical services in this hospital. Lecturer in GMC Bambolim: On getting an opportunity to join back GMC, I left the post of senior obstetrician and joined as lecturer in I also had a special affinity towards laparoscopic surgery and wanted to develop the same in Goa Medical College. I was promoted to the post of Asst. Prof. in the year Assistant Professor in GMC: I was promoted as Asst. Prof in Oct I am a recognized post-graduate guide of Goa University since Sept I am also on the panel of examiners for Rajiv Gandhi Univ. of Health Sciences, Maharashtra Univ. of Health Sciences, KLE deemed university, Yenapoya university, Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences and MAHE. I have undergone advanced laparoscopic training and training for Medico-legal examinations. I have attended workshop on HIV training in July I am also on the panel of satellite teaching for post-graduates under the aegis of FOGSI. I was promoted as associate professor in Feb 2009 and became unit head in the dept of OBG. I have presented papers at various scientific fora. I have an aptitude for teaching with special interest in perinatology and laparoscopy. In an attempt to reduce maternal mortality I am contributing data to National eclampsia registry. I have been trained as trainer for state resource faculty for sexually transmitted infections by AIDS society Gujarat. I am a member of Medical Education Cell of Goa Medical College since June I was elected as member of Academic council of Goa University for a period of two years. i.e & Attended Basic Course Workshop in Medical Education Technologies at Karamsad Gujarat in MEMBERSHIP OF SOCIETIES I am a member of Panaji Obstetrics & Gynecology Society affiliated to Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecology Societies of India. I worked as joint secretary for the same in year1991 & I was an executive member for year2005 & I also served as President of the society for the year & I am also a member of Goa state IMA & its executive member in I have got fellowship of Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in I am also been nominated on Editorial Board of Indian Obstetrics & Gynecology.
