Objectives/Goals i. To be proficient in all types of penile prosthesis surgery, male slings, and artificial urinary sphincters ii. A profound understanding of the impact of erectile dysfunction and the quality of life for patients and their spouse iii. Diagnosis and management of male sexual dysfunction, male urinary incontinence and prosthetic Urology utilizing the most modern diagnostic tests and surgical techniques iv. In-depth prosthetic surgery as well as surgical techniques for the placement of Penile Prosthesis; Treatment of

2 Peyronie s Disease; and surgery for complex male incontinence patients utilizing male slings v. Clinical and Basic Science Research, which advances the sciences of sexual dysfunction and prosthetic Urology. b. Surgical Procedures i. Penile Prosthesis 1. Inflatable 2. Non-inflatable ii. Penile fracture repair iii. Peyroine s disease repair 1. Plaque incision/excision and grafting iv. Placement of male sling v. Placement of artificial urinary sphincter c. Fellowship Curriculum: i. This is a one-year ( ) clinical and research fellowship in Sexual, Reproductive Medicine, Urinary Incontinence and Prosthetic surgery. Specifically, the fellowship will provide expert and dedicated training in the diagnosis and management of male sexual dysfunction, male urinary incontinence and prosthetic urology utilizing the most modern diagnostic tests and surgical techniques. ii. Fellowship covers in-depth prosthetic surgery as well as surgical techniques for the placement of Penile Prosthesis; Treatment of Peyronie s Disease; and surgery for complex male incontinence patients utilizing male slings. In addition, the Fellow will conduct Clinical and Basic Science Research, which advances the sciences of sexual dysfunction and prosthetic Urology.

3 iii. Focus on the non-surgical aspect of Erectile Dysfunction, the mental and overall health status on partners and families. d. Clinical Schedule: i. Monday Saturday e. Clinical Hours: i. 7am to 7pm ii. Hours per week not to exceed 80 f. Rotation Overview i. One day a week for Clinical and Basic Science Research ii. Three days a week for hands-on OR cases 1. Average of 3-8 Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (IPP) cases per week iii. Two days a week for clinic hours Research Focus (300 words) g. Research i. Clinical and basic science research will involve opportunities to perform both prospective and retrospective research in areas of: 1. Erectile dysfunction 2. Male incontinence 3. Quality of life 4. Minimizing the occurrence of infections associated with implantation of penile prosthesis quality of life before and after implantation of penile prosthetic device(s) ii. The fellow will have one day of protected research time
