The printing inks and coatings produced by the hubergroup, one of the world s largest players in this field, are developed specifically to meet the respective physical, commercial, environmental and, last but not least, legal requirements. The chart below shows how our product range is divided into three different segments: NON-FOOD, FOOD GMP and MGA Certified. The inks and coatings used to print food packaging must nowadays be manufactured in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice, or GMP for short. The recommendations compiled by EuPIA the EuPIA Guideline and its GMP Guideline have proven to be extremely helpful in this respect. Building on these guidelines, the hubergroup s own MGA concept actually goes beyond EuPIA s recommendations. In addition to the actual components that go into the formulations, MGA even covers potential contamination of the raw materials and of the inks during the production process.
