2 Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation Scope of Work for providing nutritional support to DR TB Patients: Integrated Health & Family Welfare Society is planning to provide nutrition support for the patients of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation as approved under NUHM. Integrated Health & Family Welfare Society seeks involvement of NGO for providing nutrition support to DR TB Patients. The selected NGO should provide following services: 1. NGO should provide Nutritional support attached herewith food assistance for different categories of patients as per nutritional guidelines of RNTCP. 2. Food distribution will be done by NGO on a fixed day once every month. 3. Details of the patients to be supplied with nutritional support will be given by NMMC at the end of every month. 4. NGO will compile all the data coming from NMMC and pack all the food items mentioned in respective food assistance package in one bag for individual patient. 5. Food items should be packed in transparent food grad plastic bags. 6. Patient s name and name of food assistance package should be mentioned on the bag. 7. All the food items should also be labelled with its amount. 8. NGO will transport ready food bags to each UPHC. 9. Random quality checks will be done by NMMC authority 10. M&E: a. Verification and confirmation of the patient s receipt of nutrition items. b. Quality monitoring in coordination with NMMC City TB Office. c. Monthly reporting to NMMC City TB Office. Selection Criteria for NGOs: 1. Registration: a) NGO should be duly registered under appropriate authority and eligible to work in the area of Corporation. NGO should have registered under NGO-Darpan portal. b) NGOs applying for the project in the state other than that of its registration should have experience of working in the state for at least three years in the last seven years. c) An NGO blacklisted or place under funding restrictions by any Ministry or Department of the Government of India, State Government or CAPART would not be eligible for applying under the scheme. 2. Experience: a. Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in district level projects in health sector.

3 b. Experience of working in urban settings. c. Prior work experience is similar project desired. d. Experienced personnel 3. Financial: a. Annual turnover of at least Rs 25 lakhs. b. NGO should be financially stable. c. Availability of audited certified report for last three years. 4. As per NUHM Scheme NGO is entitled for Rs. 40 per day per patient for nutritional support and Rs. 2 per day per patient for supply of nutrition to patient. So while submitting Expression of Interest this has to be taken in consideration.
