3 Introduction Baby Clips spoon The Baby Clips baby spoon was invented in 2012 by two French dads looking for a simple solution for feeding small children in any situation. Stéphane Maloisel and Edouard Pihet conceived an idea for a spoon that clips directly on to baby food pouches (fruit compotes, pureed vegetables, yogurts). Practical, ergonomic, educational and patented, Baby Clips had gained approval from parents by autumn 2012, up to the point of receiving the Baby d Or award for best innovation of the year in 2013 and 2014, awarded by the eight Baby shows in France ( In 2013, no less than 50,000 spoons were sold via three distribution channels: thematic exhibitions, the commercial website () and partnerships with food pouch manufacturers. This year sees expansion of the company in France, with consolidation of the commercial relationship with Good Goût, a brand specialising in organic fruit pouches. Internationally, in addition to its presence at the Baby Show in London (21 to 23 February) and Babyboom exhibition in Brussels (14 to 16 March), Baby Clips is in the process of finalising negotiations with European, American and Asian distributors. The brand is also expanding its range with the launch of additional products in the coming months. Both the design and production of Baby Clips are 100% French. The Baby Clips spoon is the first clip-on spoon for baby food pouches (fruit compotes, vegetable purees, yogurts). Ergonomic With a width of less than 2 cm, the spoon is designed specifically for baby s mouth. The lip and tongue stimulating tip allows the tongue to flatten, reducing the teat sucking action. Educational It encourages the transition from bottle to spoon and provides a clean, pleasant and effective learning experience which appeals to parents and is fun for children. Convenient The spoon snaps quickly on to baby food pouches. Small and easily transported, it can be used anywhere (home, park, car...) and at any time of day. Innovative It is covered by two patents. The first patent covers the lip and tongue stimulator, the second covers the clip. Baby Clips was voted best innovation of the year in 2013 and 2014 by parents visiting the eight Baby shows in France. ( com). 100% French The spoon was invented by two Frenchmen who decided to produce it in their own country, specifically in a Burgundy factory. French innovation and quality. 4 Instructions for use The Baby Clips spoon can be clipped onto: -commercially available food pouches, including those of our partner Good Goût, an organic food brand -reusable, washable pouches made by our partner Little Green Pouch Using Baby Clips 1. Unseal the food pouch 2. Slide Baby Clips into the pouch, with spoon and pouch positioned in the same orientation 3. It clips on! 4. Squeeze the pouch to deliver the food onto Baby Clips and bring the spoon to the child s mouth. Cleaning Baby Clips 1. Rotate the spoon to remove the safety clip 2. Remove the spoon and reseal the pouch if necessary 3. Rinse Baby Clips with hot water 4. Hand wash with washing-up liquid and rinse thoroughly. Baby Clips is dishwasher safe. Datasheet Size: dimensions 90.7 x 25 x 12.2 mm; capacity 3 cl Components: food grade plastic (nucleated PP homopolymer) certified in accordance with Annex IV of the EU Regulation 10/2011 and food dyes. Does not contain B-phenol or phthalates. Patents: the first patent covers the tongue and lip stimulators, designed exclusively for a better transition from bottle to spoon feeding. The raised edges allow stimulation of nerve areas in the mouth, teaching baby how to position the lips and tongue. The spoon requires an opposite action to that required for the teat: the lips should remain straight with the tongue lowered. The lip stimulator (located at the front of the Baby Clips spoon) stimulates the sensory system of the lower lip, causing baby to lower his lips while keeping them straight. The second stimulator helps baby lower his tongue ready to receive food. The clip is covered by the second patent. This innovative process allows Baby Clips to clip on to all types of food pouches. The spoon can be used safely once the clip is locked. 5 Key dates The company Edouard PIHET, 38, is the associate director of Baby Clips. He started his career at the car manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroën and subsequently occupied managerial positions in supply chain and strategic marketing during 12 years at the domestic equipment manufacturer Groupe SEB. He then launched his consulting firm EcloLINK in 2011, intended primarily for SOHO-SME in the greater eastern France area. He is the father of two little girls who were guinea pigs for the design of Baby Clips! «The commercial success of our spoon has reinforced our desire to launch new utensils for babies and young children in the near future.» -2012: Idea for the Baby Clips spoon was conceived by two dads, Stéphane Maloisel and Edouard Pihet -November 2012: Participation at their first Baby exhibition in France. He runs two companies, Les Repas Santé and Gel Alpes, which specialise in health food and meat products respectively.
