1 Fla Alchemc Dance an Experental and Transpersonal Program for Restructurng, Healng and Actvaton of Amplfed Conscousness States Florn Vancea* *PhD, Faculty of Psychology - Pedagogy, Spru Haret Unversty, Brașov, Romana, SPER Insttute, Bucharest, Romana Introducton: The psychotherapeutc program Fla Alchemc Dance, developed ever snce 2006 n Braşov, represents a holstc and ntegratve approach to human personalty, havng as a man frame the Unfyng Experental Psychotherapy method. Ths program combnes the effcency of dance and movement therapes, as creatve-expressve methods, wth the effectveness of body psychotherapes and transpersonal approaches whch use the amplfed conscousness states. Objectves: The present study ams at underlnng the effcency of ths program n restructurng and healng some deep psychosomatc and emotonal problems, whch orgnate n traumatc experences from dfferent perods: prenatal perod, brth, early chldhood, chldhood and even adolescence. In my prevous studes, I used quanttatve methods to demonstrate and present the remarkable results obtaned through ths holstc and ntegratve program, called Fla Alchemc Dance, wthout nsstng on restructurng and healng emotonal traumas through regressve experences and amplfed conscousness states. Methods: The expermental method of ths program s a unque and nnovatve one, especally n terms of accessng traumatc experences. Ths part of the method represents a unque combnaton of dance moves and conscous breathng usng a moblzng and nductve muscal background, wth moments of stllness and body work n the absence of musc. Ths method dffers substantally from the holotropc breath work proposed by Stanslav Grof. As a research method, ths study uses a qualtatve approach, such as case studes based on accounts of partcpants n ths program, whch were collected and selected throughout the ten-year span of practcng ths method. Results: The results obtaned over the past ten years of mplementng the Fla Alchemc Dance program are remarkable: some of the partcpants managed to process and restructure certan traumatc experences, whle others had the opportunty to access extraordnary states of conscousness, whch facltated a superor understandng of realty. Conclusons: Based on the results obtaned n ths therapeutc program over the past ten years, we can state that t can jon those complex and profoundly restructurng approaches that already exst (holotropc breath work, pneuma breathng, bofeedback, neo-rechan approach, rebrth, psychosynthess). Fla Alchemc Dance can be a vable alternatve to the tradtonal methods mentoned above. The output conssts of self-repettve, auto-smlar, complex and abstract representatons of the natural world. Ths means that smlar shapes can be found everywhere around, especally n the natural envronment and n the human body. Objectves: The study shown here ams at underlnng, presentng and makng several suggestons about the way these shapes can be used as a form of Ambent Therapy n a health practtoner s offces and how the aesthetc of fractals can predct certan personalty trats when used n the context of the Fractal Technque. Methods: To acheve our objectves, we wll present a crtcal revew of works and studes pertanng to scences lke archtecture, medcne, bology, and psychology. The fndngs are correlated wth our personal research regardng the ablty of fractals to reduce stress and predct personalty trats. Results: After 5 years of gatherng and dssemnatng nformaton about fractals durng workshops, publc conferences, student courses, and personal development groups, we observed that these shapes can reduce stress, actvate alpha waves, nduce fascnaton just by means of ther presence and they can gve mportant peces of nformaton about the vewer. Also, wth the ad of some specal gudance, fractals can be used as dagnoss and nterventon tools wthn the frame of Unfcaton Experental Therapy. Conclusons: Fractals can be an effcent tool n Ambent Therapy due to ther capacty to reduce stress, and have a healng restoratve effect as well, due to ther smlarty not only to parts of the human body but also to the evoluton of the human behavor tself. It s well known that a vst to the doctor s offce s usually stressful and full of anxety, possbly because one mght expect to receve a bad dagnoss or to expose hs/her personal body and mnd to a stranger. Ths s why t s mportant to provde a healng place for the clent qute from the begnnng. Also, when t comes to psychologcal offces, fractals can be a good tool to releve stress, to reduce anxety and sustan ntrospecton, especally n the case of those clents who are not n contact wth ther nner world. 3 Dark Matter: Mental Space and Depresson - a Plot Investgaton of an Expermental Psychotherapeutc Method Based on Mental Space Psychology to Reduce the Dstress of Moderate Depresson - Chrstne Beenhakker*, Alexandru Ioan Manea** *Socety for Mental Space Psychology, The Netherlands **Faculty of Psychology and Educatonal Scences, Department of Psychology, Unversty of Bucharest, Romana Introducton: The ntroducton presents some statstc fgures about depresson, the perspectve of the DSM model of depresson, an overvew regardng a new emergng paradgm, called Mental Space Psychology and ts connecton wth a hypothess regardng lowerng symptoms of depresson. Objectves: The man goal of ths plot study was to nvestgate the measurable effect of the expermental treatment method Depresson n Awareness Space (DAS). Method: The practcal sutablty of the DAS method was tested wth fve clents n psychotherapeutc context; fve other subjects dd not follow a DAS nterventon and consttuted the control group (n=10). Precedng the plot nvestgaton, the clents were subjected to a so-called Four-Dmensonal Symptom Questonnare (4DSQ, Dutch: 4DKL/Ver-dmensonale Klachtenljst) n order to determne to what extent they experenced depressve feelngs. Results: After four weeks, the fve clents that followed the DAS methodology were reexamned wth the 4DSQ and for four out of the fve clents, ther scores on the Depresson scale sgnfcantly lowered. Also, ther subjectve feelngs regardng depressve states were recorded, and they reported that they found a postve copng strategy for ther problem. Conclusons: The success of ths plot study gves enough confdence to start a more ambtous project n usng the Depresson n Awareness Space (DAS) methodology for a larger study nvolvng at least 100 subjects. 4 Perspectves Regardng the Optmzaton of the Recreatonal Sklls n Young Adults: Interventon Program Contrbuton Marcela Popescu* *Faculty of Psychology and Educatonal Scences, Psychology Department, Unversty of Bucharest, Bucharest, Romana Introducton: the purpose of ths research s to study the stance of the young adults on the recreatonal therapes and on spendng spare tme, as well as to help them realse the degree of rsk to whch they expose themselves, n terms of health ssues, when they don t engage n recreatonal actvtes. We also studed the way a recreatonal program cultvates relaxng sklls among the subjects of ths study. Objectves: we offered tranng and educaton to these partcpants n order to make them more aware of the rsk degree n regards to ther health and to help them mprove ther recreatonal sklls. We also amed at establshng and developng a connecton between the subjects and ther recreaton, knowng that ths s necessary n order to mantan the nner balance. Methods: we used qualtatve methods for ths research alongsde other tools such as: observatons, ntervews, journals, case studes (for multple cases). The recreatonal ntervew amed at dentfyng the subjects' atttude towards ther connecton wth recreaton. Results: the analyss of the case studes ndcates that the subjects voluntary partcpaton n the program s actvtes was assocated wth postve emotons, such as joy and achevement and t was perceved as up-buldng for the partcpants. Conclusons: the nterventon program encouraged people to explore more lesure nterests and to get nvolved n recreatonal programs. The recreatonal programs may nclude re-educaton, art-therapy and ergo-therapy actvtes, mentorng programs, sports and ftness. 5 Humour and Mate Selecton n a Romanan Sample Lorena Antonovc*, Mara-Ncoleta Turluc* *Faculty of Psychology and Educatonal Scences, Psychology Department, Alexandru Ioan Cuza Unversty, Iaş, Romana Introducton: So far, as we are aware, there has been lttle nvestgaton nto partner's preferences when analyzng the Romanan samples. Objectve: Ths study ntends to examne whether dfferent levels of sense of humour would have a sgnfcant mpact on attractvty and sutablty when t comes to consderng a Romanan potental partner. We consdered that people perceved as havng a good sense of humour are consdered sgnfcantly more attractve and sutable as a long-term partner compared to those perceved as not havng a good sense of humour or those n the control group. Lkewse, we expected that people perceved as lackng a sense of humour are consdered sgnfcantly less attractve and less sutable as a long-term partner compared to those n the control group. Fnally, we verfed f there are sgnfcant gender dfferences n terms of attractveness and sutablty wth a long-term partner when consderng humour. Methods: We constructed vgnettes to descrbe a hypothetcal partner - wth humour as an ndependent varable and level of attractveness and sutablty as a long-term partner as dependent varables. The sample ncluded a total of 150 Romanan students. Results: The results showed that subjects wth a good sense of humour were consdered more attractve and sutable as a long-term partner compared to subjects who lack a sense of humour. However, no sgnfcant dfferences were found when comparng subjects wth a good sense of humour and subjects from the control group. Addtonally, the male partcpants rated the female subjects wth hgh levels of sense of humour as more attractve and sutable as a long-term partner, unlke the female partcpants. Conclusons: These fndngs suggest that possessng a good sense of humour affects nterpersonal attracton and mate selecton. Ths s a mnor step n understandng the Romanan peoples preferences when t comes to humour and mate selecton.
