MFCC provides individual, family, and group therapy, as well as parenting classes, to the community in an effort to prevent future incidents of abuse Refugio Para Niños West Covina, CA Registered Psychologist #RPS Refugio Para Niños is a foster care agency that specializes in providing foster care placements for Hispanic sibling sets. Clinicians are responsible for assessing foster homes in order to ensure the safety of minors. Clinicians focus on providing case management, which includes assessing the needs of minors, providing support and services to foster parents, advocating for minors in the academic setting, and conducting weekly visits to the foster home.

3 Western Youth Services Anaheim, CA Marriage & Family Therapist Registered Intern IMF #37360 Western Youth Services (WYS) provides individual, family, and group therapy for minors and their families. WYS is contracted by the County of Orange Health Care Agency to provide mental health services to children that are dependents of the court in foster or group home placement, as well as MediCal and AB 3632/882 referred clients. Therapists are required to be proficient in conducting intakes, treatment plans, psychosocial histories, assessment summaries, and service coordination plans for each client in accordance with county and MediCal guidelines and requirements. CLINICAL TRAINING SPECIFIC TO PSYCHOLOGY Orange County Mental Health Children & Youth Services Placentia, CA Psychology Intern Orange County Mental Health Children & Youth Services (CYS) is an outpatient clinic, which provides mental health services to children/adolescents and their families. The focus of this internship is to provide individual and family therapy, as well as psychological assessment. These assessments include a complete battery of tests that assess intellectual ability, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning. In addition, interns are responsible for conducting emergency mental health evaluations and hospitalization under clinical supervision Orange County Mental Health Children & Youth Services Placentia, CA Psychology Extern The focus of this clerkship is to complete psychological evaluations for the purpose of diagnostic clarification and AB 3632/882 school based referrals. These evaluations include a complete battery of tests that assess intellectual ability, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning. The psychological evaluation report offers diagnostic clarification, as well as recommendations for treatment Center for Individual & Family Therapy (CIFT) Orange, CA Psychology Extern CIFT is a private practice environment mental health clinic in which autonomy is highly regarded. Clinicians provide individual, child/adolescent, and family outpatient services. Clinicians are required to set appointments, collect fees, and maintain records as required by the California Board of Psychology. Clinicians are expected to be able to work independently, seeking supervision when appropriate Garden Grove Unified School District Garden Grove, CA Psychology Extern The focus of this practicum is to complete psychological assessments by administering intelligence and achievement tests, such as the WISC III, Woodcock-Johnson III, CTONI, PPVT, and the VMI. These assessments consisted of writing psychological evaluation reports, which included recommendations for the purpose of presenting them to the Individualized Education Plan team.

This training consisted of Rogerian-style empathy skills training with audiovisual feedback and evaluation of therapeutic skills Latino Psychological & Social Services Santa Ana, CA Marriage & Family Therapist Trainee Latino Psychological & Social Services is a MediCal clinic, which provides individual, family and group therapy for the Hispanic population. As an MFT trainee, this practicum site requires entry-level experience in conducting intakes, diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and providing case management. In addition, L.P.S.S. participates in community outreach programs that assist clients and their families in obtaining mental health and social services.
